"This election was clearly a referendum on Mr. Trump and largely a rejection of his policies."

And Jon Husted's "pile of muscle" ass wasn't able to stop the ass-whooping in Ohio.
I haven't looked to see how many won. 258 veterans are running for House, Senate in midterm elections
Did Republicans flip a single House seat?
Not sure. Some races are still too early/too close to call.
The polls were way off the mark. They significantly underestimated Dem performance and the size of the wave.
For some bizarre reason Trump thinks he uglier he looks the more respect he’ll get.the White House posted the ugliest image of President Trump they could find
Well, Mike Johnson wasn't wrong. The polls were historically wrong....
How bad was it last night? A dem that stopped campaigning back in September because of healthy issues who basically dropped out of the race in Iowa, won yesterday.
RIP LA. She's worse than Mamdani.

Did that Tad guy who made the kickass commercial win?@jdb No it doesn't. It tells me some things about Michigan and Minnesota. States that are already fairly blue, overall. El Sayed would not have won in some of the more traditionally Red states... possibly including Texas despite Paxton being a historically bad candidate. The Democrats won in those Red areas, because they capitalized on how fed up most Americans are with all the shady, corrupt, ineffectual leaders we have/had... AND because they ran solid candidates that people felt comfortable voting for.
I'm sorry, but that is simply wrong on several levels. Minnesota, despite being blue for a long while, is not blue like Illinois. It's blue like Colorado. There are, and should be, opportunities to flip it to Red every so often, like when your governor is responsible for billions in fraud. Peggy was the Lt. Gov. under that regime and she is a weird person. If people actually voted like you said, caring about corrupt and ineffectual leaders, there is no way she would have won because she was not a good candidate.
Michigan is the same. I'm not saying Tafoya or Rogers were great candidates, but they weren't an anti-American, terrorist-sympathizing DSA candidate and a Liz Warren-pretending Lt. Gov. who resided during the biggest fraud scandal in state history.
People decided, we hate Trump and the current state of things, "fuck common sense". Which is why the voting public is scary in this country, and we wound up with Trump in the first place.
