Since this started with FEMA, the problem is that disasters can happen that can dwarf states. Indiana has a $1.1 billion rainy day fund. The estimated physical damage to Indiana if New Madrid goes, $1.1 billion. Now that's just physical damage. The entire economy of SW Indiana would be destroyed. Indiana alone could not recover from a major earthquake at New Madrid for a long time.
And New Madrid isn't Indiana's nightmare scenario; the Wabash Fault is far closer and would impact much more of Indiana.
It turns out to have been spurious readings, but there was fear that Mount Rainier was waking up. If Rainier were to erupt, Seattle and Tacoma would be devastated. Not by a blast, covered by homeowners' insurance, but by a lahar. That is the snow melting rapidly, collecting rock and ash on a VERY rapid trip down the mountain. Imagine a wall of liquid concrete hitting a city at 100mph. That is deemed a landslide, which falls under earthquake insurance. Two things about earthquake insurance, as Indiana would be in the same boat with New Madrid or Wabash: 1) very few have it 2) it sucks. You pay something like the first 20% of the damage. No way Washington State could cover the costs of two of its major income centers in a state of ruin.
Florida has $4 billion in its rainy day fund; Hurricane Andrew, in today's dollars, would be $48 billion. Of course, the longer it takes to rebuild, the fewer tourism dollars Florida rakes in. As Florida struggles to pay for rebuilding over a longer timeline due to budget constraints, it has much less money. Perversely, this helps Georgia and Alabama as beachgoers have a reason to visit them. So competitor states have an incentive not to assist.
If convicted, she should be expelled, just like George Santos was expelled. Party affiliation doesn't matter. She has been called "Shifty Sheila" for years, by Floridians in both parties. To recap, a clerical error led to a huge overpayment to her company for providing COVID-related benefits. Instead of returning the money that she realized was not deserved, she hoped that no one would notice. She apparently pocketed it and even used it in her campaign.

No way the Senators will vote against that - even the ones that snuck it into the bill. It's so brazenly corrupt that there's no way to justify it.https://twitter.com/allenanalysis/status/1991490541947625910?s=20
Let's see what happens here.
And people still defend these people as if they were their "team."Undeniable.

This is something that everyone should agree on.
It's not gonna go anywhere because both sides are doing it, but it's good in theory.
Difference is if she is proven to be guilty, you won't find anyone defending her
Well of course.

I think he's actually dumb enough to try and pursue this.
The Biden DOJ/FBI also spied on Trump, Ted Cruz, Jim Jordan, and others. Perhaps the better question is: Is there any conservatives that they didn't spy on? And is there a consensus here that leftists across the nation 100% support using federal law enforcement to spy on those that don't espouse their ideology?
