Charlie Kirk was interesting in how antithetical he was to Bush attempts to win voters.
The Bush admin. thought if we moderate socially, buy in to secular government, and steer towards more pro- immigration policies eventually we’ll win converts and they’ll get on board with Social Security reforms, tax cuts and a capitalist agenda that will save us from a fiscal cliff and bring prosperity.
Kirk put the religious and social issues first believing that fiscal and all other government policy was an outgrowth of that.
The divide between Bush and Trump republicans isn’t simply a policy debate. I think it’s much more metaphysical.

@dbmhoosier stop trolling Twitter. It’s really not representative. If you go out in search of hate you’ll probably find it. And it’ll only whip you into an unproductive rage.
