Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan. POTFB
lol...only the Cato institute can post something like this and not realize it's an own goal. Not surprisingly people from different backgrounds and cultures are less likely to unite together. No, sh#t Sherlock. Oh...and not only is it bad for unions, it's also bad for the country overall. Low trust societies aren't a good thing. These guys are f#cking idiots.
@snarlcakes Can we have atheists and Christians in the same community? Who has to go to make us homogeneous? Men and women? Who has to go to make us homogeneous? Left-handed and right-handed? Who has to go to make us homogeneous? Where are you Republicans moving to so we can be homogeneous Democratic?
Maybe some of us should just stop immediately hating anyone who looks, talks, or worships differently than us? In the antebellum South the White plantation owners greatly disliked Whites who were poor, poor enough that they actually had to work. Hence, they came up with the insult "cotton picking." It wasn't directed at Blacks; it was to denigrate Southern Whites who had to pick their own cotton. Since some need to feel they are better than the immigrant, if we get rid of the immigrants, they will just find someone else to put at that lowest tier.

Ironically, you're doing the exact thing you're decrying. Americans aren't bad because all walks of life prefer to be around people of their own religion, culture and etc. And burying your head in the sand and calling white people bad isn't going to change human nature. The questions should be do we continue immigration? And if yes how do we mitigate the downside or trade offs of it. Unfortunately, the left and some of the right have spent the last 2-3 decades just calling people names.
He most certainly did no such thing, and the fact that you think he did is an example of why we as a nation have such difficulty discussing these topics.

Then answer the questions. Do we kick atheists out of the country? Catholics or protestants, which has to leave? But if we keep protestants, is it Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, what? Or maybe all Christians leave since this is messy and keep Jews, but then Orthodox or Reformed? We have to be all alike, so maybe it's easiest just to keep atheists and remove all religions. I find people who worship Bitcoin hard to be around; they have to leave. After all, only about 20% own bitcoin so clearly they are the rabble-rousers. Introducing another currancy to divide us when we were all unified around the dollar.
Whites as a whole aren't evil, just Whites who hate everyone who isn't White.

Anyone that takes way more than they contribute should go. No parasites.
And Dems keep telling yourself white people are the problem.

No problem. I'll answer them. The only people that need to leave are those here illegally. Moving forward I want no or very very little immigration for the next several decades. Similar to what they did the last time the foreign born population got this high. Also, I want immigrants from nations that align more with U.S. culture....aka Christian or nations that aren't overwhelming Muslim or Hindu. Also, I'd want an IQ test (or something that purposely sorts for it) for the immigrants as well that we admit. I'd be ok with doing away with an IQ test if the Federal Government was cut back to levels it was a century ago before FDR when was closer to 5%.

I have no problem discussing them. And it's exactly what he did and does almost every time the topic comes up.

That's what we call bullshit. It is a shame you don't know the difference between "White people are bad" and "racists are bad". Unless it is YOU that assumes all Whites are racist? Then your point makes total sense. There are a lot of Whites, Republicans and Democrats, who don't consider a person's skin. That was a point in his youth CO Hoosier made all the time. That is a point My Team is on The Floor has made often. But there are people here who do think people belong, or not, based simply on color of skin.
@arthur-dent we’d do better to substitute culture for skin. A certain culture represented themselves quite well again at York college with a disgusting beating from this culture’s lovely “teens.”
Shocking how often it’s this culture. That culture is an absolute blight on American society.

Let's go one step further and make the IQ test mandatory across the board for all citizens to remain here.
