@carramrod correct. And it’s brain power.  Seeing how things are developing. Finding space.  Every player is a qb.

The reality is football and basketball are better sports and elite U.S. athletes specialize in those and not soccer.

right and tariffs aren't inflationary....

I'm having to flip to page two for things you don't understand

No, I'm right again. The number of athletes in the world that can compete at that level are minuscule.  Almost all of the U.S. ones play different sports.  I heard this same sh#t 25 years ago and the U.S. still sucks at soccer.  And it will continue as long as guys like Pete Crow, Curry, Westbrook, and top NFL guys don't play soccer.

@snarlcakes I didn't even think of PCA. He would be a soccer GOAT. The man can do anything.

@snarlcakes that’s because you have no clue what you’re talking about.  It’s a different skill set and your assumption that because someone is good at basketball it will translate is without merit

you think it’s just body type. Bc they are fast in the nfl. Pirlo was none of those things and won everything.  With almost no athleticism. It’s between the ears and in the touch.

That's my point.  I think there are maybe 200 (probably fewer) guys in the U.S. that are elite athletes like Pete or Hill. And almost all of them don't play soccer.  That's my story and I'm sticking to it😁

When the U.S. stops getting their a#%es kicked by Belgium and wins a World Cup. I'll issue mea culpa and say you're right.  Until then I'm right.  @bulk-vh you can shut the thread now

@snarlcakes you think it’s great athletes. You don’t need great athletes.  It’s a different skill set. Again you’ve got dunning Kruger syndrome.  Not a good look

He also enjoyed playing soccer, using his speed to blow by overmatched defenders. Sometimes, rather than bending over to pick up a baseball, he will kick it up into the air and start playing hacky sack. He simply has that “it” factor,

@snarlcakes you don’t think Nigeria and Jamaica and the rest of the fastest people on earth haven’t tried?   You think it’s just athletes. Power speed. It’s not.  Xavi. Iniesta.  Messi. Pirlo.  Destroy those guys. It’s brain.  Vision. Touch.  Ago. It’s totally different skill sets.  What you value in athletes isn’t what makes a great soccer player.  We saw that with freeman’s kid and the others.  Speed. Endurance.  But that touch and knowledge are a different thing at the top

He is unreal to watch.  And he would have told the Belgiums to "suck my di%k, b#tches" and then went scored a hat trick on them.

My pleasure!  I mean, we have 3 active threads on the front page about soccer.  That probably doesn't even happen on soccer message boards.
