The reality is football and basketball are better sports and elite U.S. athletes specialize in those and not soccer.

No, I'm right again. The number of athletes in the world that can compete at that level are minuscule. Almost all of the U.S. ones play different sports. I heard this same sh#t 25 years ago and the U.S. still sucks at soccer. And it will continue as long as guys like Pete Crow, Curry, Westbrook, and top NFL guys don't play soccer.
