Seems to me that most Dems support abortion after birth.  This woman strangled her 3 little kids to death and white liberal women everywhere are treating her like a hero and role model.

All of them need to be institutionalized

Anyone want to try to explain this?

@goat wake up.  there are no consequences and there are already clinics performing them and they ain't asking questions.  IC signed pay up and done.

Abortion is legal in Colorado at all stages of pregnancy with no gestational limit. Under http://governorsoffice.colorado.gov/governor/news/8386-governor-polis-takes-action-protect-reproductive-rights-freedoms-and-privacy-coloradans ." data-copy-service-computed-style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 500; margin: 0px; text-decoration: underline 1px rgb(26, 13, 171); border-bottom: 0px rgb(26, 13, 171);">Governor Jared Polis's Executive Orders and subsequent shield laws like SB23-188 and SB25-129, medical providers performing late-term procedures legally within the state face no professional license discipline, civil liability, or professional sanctions from Colorado authorities or cooperation with hostile out-of-state investigations. [1, 2, 3]
Overview of Colorado Reproductive Rights Protections
  • No Gestational Limits: Colorado law does not restrict abortion based on the stage of pregnancy. [1, 2]
  • Professional License Defense: State licensing boards are directed not to take adverse disciplinary actions against medical professionals providing lawful reproductive care. [1, 2]
  • Instate and Out-of-State Shield: Colorado blocks state resources from aiding foreign civil/criminal actions, subpoenas, or extraditions targeting individuals who legally provide or receive care within the state. [1, 2]
  • Insurance and Contract Safeguards: Malpractice and health insurers are legally barred from penalizing, canceling policies, or raising rates on practitioners solely for delivering reproductive care protected under Colorado law. [1, 2]

Brad it was clearly the husband's fault.  He made good money, let her be a stay at home mom, hired a nanny to help her out, etc but it wasn't enough.  He should've done more obviously. Good thing these women have donated over a $1M for her.  She was clearly deprived.

@bar-down I already said I get what you're saying. I don't even disagree with it. But you're focused on the law, and I'm talking about morality and ethics. There's overlap, but they still aren't the same thing.

Would you be happy if I just said this: "I do not think we should be allowing late-term abortions except in the most extraordinary of circumstances."

BTW, if anyone is wondering, it was @dbmhoosier who broke the thread.

@goat that’s precisely why that the drs are able to do this without express conditions and restrictions delineated in the statute. Morality is squishy. Read the salient bits I linked from drs opining that women go through hell, they shouldn’t face a lifetime of burden, they’re only trying to survive blah blah.  Their morality doesn’t comport with ours.  But it is moral to them.  And what Colorado has codified is that their morality is good enough for the state and there will be no sanctions from the medical board and no liability save regular negligence arising from a botched procedure etc

Are you talking about the "Later Abortion Initiative" website? Yeah, I can't deny that shit was bonkers. I honestly had to Google to make sure it wasn't some kind of sick satire.

@goat there’s more. Look at the clinic I linked. And there’s some in Illinois that I guarantee do whatever mom wants post ic. Because again. 1) there are crazy people we see them with Clancy and some are drs and 2) who is going to sue?  No one.
