Nah, the 7-9 pm slot on CNN (Erin Burnett(smash), Anderson Cooper, Kaitlin can't remember her last name) are just as left leaning as they always have been. Occasionally they take a dig at a Progressive but other than that it's all anti-Trump admin all evening long. While they aren't MSNBCNOW or whatever the current iteration is, they are still very lefty in their presentation. The 9pm slot with Abby (also can't remember last name but would smash) where they have Scott Jennings as a foil is almost laughably lefty and borderline unwatchable.

I'll take your word for it, but I don't think Dave Ellison is going to let anything too damning or crazy about Trump get onto his airwaves. The people you mention might be considered 'anti-Trump,' but they largely treat him with kid gloves. I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like Jake Tapper is penning a tell all about how Trump can't stay awake in Cabinet meetings. And besides, the combined ratings of Fox News/NewsMax far outweigh the ratings of MSNow/CNN. Throw in the fact that the Washington Post, X and other social media and the local affiliates Sinclair owns and more Americans aren't getting decisive far-left media shoved down their throats.

There are prominent left-leaning media personalities for sure, but their audiences aren't as big as their conservative counterparts. That said, the media definitely leaned much harder left from the advent of cable news all the way into Trump's first term. I think we've been witnessing that titanic shift in real time.

And it’s a statement of fact that the Ellisons are beholden to Trump and Weiss is beholden to the Ellisons.

Larry had always been more libertarian.

I remember back when I worked for Big Red we had billions in federal government contracts. A whole sales division to manage it.

I suppose at that point in time the Ellisons were beholden to Obama.

One of my brothers will send me clips of Jennings.  Even these 1-3 minute snippets he sends are tough to get through. I'm not much of a Jennings fan, but some of these people he's bodying are abject morons.

If Kroft is correct, the Pelley firing doesn't make sense from a business standpoint. Am also surprised the show is doing so well.

When you berate you new boss in front of the rest of the team after leaking internal, perhaps confidential, things to the press, it's not gonna result in a promotion and a raise.  It's gonna end up the way this did, 99% of the time.

No kidding. Pelley fired himself. He might as well have decked the new guy on his way out.

I only know the guy from 60 Minutes.  I didn't realize he had been in the anchor chair for the evening news.  I can only imagine what he did to get the boot from there.  He's not lacking in the ego department.

@goat journalists are naturally left. IU itself did a study on same. Overwhelmingly so.  But I don’t ever remember mainstream media being so radically left as it is today. We see it with the presentation of crime to the trump obsession.  They’ve rendered themselves nothing more than propagandists

now again with podcasts and all the rest it might not matter.  But msm from the NYT to cbs is pure garbage

Though we can't know for certain, I do wish for a parallel universe where Harris, as president, bombed Iran on the pretense of regime change and toppling a terrorist sympathizing regime. While Trump hasn't covered himself in glory here, CNNs coverage was almost instantly one-sided. Bit gross actually. Calling out how depleted our rocket stocks were, etc. I have a feeling the coverage would have been wholly different had it been Harris at the wheel.

Do you think anything that was said was inaccurate?

Do you think they are as biased to the left as fox news is to the right?  When making accusations on mainstream media, the accusers love to ignore the fact that fox news has by far the most viewers (qualifying as mainstream) and is at the very least just as biased as any of the other networks.  People don't want to point fingers when they agree with the bias though.

I don't watch the news much (get most from online articles and what people argue about on here) but liberal bias seems to be mostly bias by omission or bias based on what they choose to focus on.  Fox, on the other hand, has been caught just flat out lying.

If it was Harris that was president and went to war, then MAGA and republicans would still be anti-war like they used to be.

@larsiu Agree.  CNN is still left leaning especially with the "experts" they bring on to weigh in on topics.  They certainly are less biased than MSNOW or FOX and it is easy for me to apply the proper level of filter for CNN.  Tapper has bad hair but he is just left of center IMO.

@hurryinghoosiers remember that 60 hatchet job when they did the piece about how DeSantis was using Publix to distribute the Covid vaccine? But DeSantis had gotten donations from the owners of Publix!!!!!!

Then they cut off DeSantis’s response to a question about it.

Or when they completely cut the Harris interview apart and glued it back together to make her appear not retarded?

What do you classify nonsense insinuations and deceptive editing like that as? Lies of omission? Or selection bias?
