Ossoff will be the Dem nominee.

Take it to the bank.

id take that bet. There is no way your party would nominate a Jew

@JDB It's not my party.

Dems did have Lieberman on a national ticket.

Do you think it makes a difference that he doesn't appear to be particularly observant, that he has been critical of Netanyahu, and that his mother is not a Jew?

Times were different in 2000, much of the Democratic party was pro-Israel. That isn't the case today and although Jewish and Israeli are distinct, the electorate (hell, even many politicians and political pundits) clearly doesn't see it so.

Let's do it - $100 to a non-political charity of each other's choice, and I'll throw you, Shapiro, too.

Deal.

Obviously MAGA has no clue about how to fix the economy.

The problem is believing government can “fix” the economy.  The best thing government can do is get out of the way and allow those who actually are the economy fix it.  Trump was on the right track with deals like Audi, but all of that is now in the shitter.

As for the pubs. Total reboot.  Anyone with trump is a no go.  Too much stink.  The country clearly hates aloha pubs. They don’t want tax breaks for the rich and corps and wars.  Pubs need to find a moderate pub with a strong personality with no ties

I think they might be wandering in the wilderness for a little while like after 08.  I think whomever takes over will be further to the left.  They need to somehow win Hispanics and I doubt moving to the right is going to do it.

Sure, and his war and tariffs were also a huge plus.

moderate pub with a strong personality

A personality fortified by alcohol, anti- anxiety meds, and anti-depressants will suffice with many voters.

@co-hoosier your post is contradictory.  They didn’t get taken.  The message sent is what they wanted.  People don’t want Dem shit. We saw that last election.  This election was solely a a referendum on Trump.   Trump did what HE wanted not what maga or dems wanted.  F Trump

I think tariffs are a plus. Lots of evidence supports that.

If a voter believed a vote for a democrat was a vote for affordability, they  got taken. The democrats were always driven by going after Trump. The affordability message was a ruse.

@co-hoosier I don’t think so.  My people are nailpounders. Own roofing cos. Asphalt companies.  Gas is a huge deal.  That’s baked into affordability.  Trump pursued what he wanted and voters repudiated him

Yes, particularly the temper-tantrum tariffs that are imposed, for example, after a conversation with a foreign leader and Trump "didn't like the way she talked."

@co-hoosier trump blocked Harris and Walz in the throes of woke madness and he closed the border. That’s the extent of his positive legacy.

The voters voted for dem shit this election.  It is now pretty obvious that the 2024 was driven by the Democrats nominating an absolute moron.  Not because anybody liked Trump.

As i listed previously, Trumps postive legacy is much more than the border.  The problem is his negatives are much more conspicuous.

I wont live to see the negative effects of what is coming down the pike.  Anti- capitalism, pro big government, and the social ills of the disappearing male from politics and society will take a toll on your generation and those that follow.
