@bar-down France are so talented, but they look very undisciplined.
@goat it’s that enigma that is both Dembele and Mbappe. If they have their shit together I think at this point they are the best team in the cup
@goat two straight days of great games. Pulling for Norway and the narcos. Then tomorrow. My god. I don’t think I’m even going to go to the office
Germany played in Houston, Boston, and (yikes!!!) Toronto. He paints a different picture than we read on here about blue cities (St. Shithole, Missouri, notwithstanding).
"A German soccer fan came to the United States for the World Cup worried he might find the dangerous, crime-riddled country he’d heard about on the news. Instead, he found a place so magical he broke down crying on local television.
During an interview with NBC 10 Boston, Sebastian Krause became visibly emotional while explaining how deeply moved he was by the kindness he experienced from Americans during his visit."
.
@bar-down Kinda rooting for England now, to be honest. Just because I'd like to see that quarterfinal matchup.
@larsiu For the record, Trump was not part of that story when I posted it. The headline was something like "FIFA rescinds Balogun's suspension" or whatever. Of course, that was technically incorrect, so they had to change it. And being the lefty rag that it is, they decided to mention Trump.
@bar-down And the only one before that was Costa Rica in 2001. They have exactly 2 competitive losses in that stadium. And 70 wins.
