I've watched more soccer in the last few weeks than I've watched in the last few years. I still can't explain an offside or why something is not a card at all, vs yellow or red.
I hate that we're going to be without Balogun in the round of 16. It's strikingly similar to the targeting rules in CFB, which I think are subjective at best.

I met some dude at the bar eating dinner. He had connections with some Miami team that the spice girls husband owned. He had picks with him and the short dude who is really good as well. Claimed his company worked with and been on flights with them and blah blah. Unfortunately, no picks with the Spice girl😢 Anyhoo, he got me up to speed on soccer and the World Cup. I'm dialed in now.
This match is definitely living up to my expectations. Croatia with a great goal, then Portugal with the very deserved penalty. I think Portugal will find a way to get the winner before it's over.

Seems to me if the dude shaved his head, that would have been a goal. Only thing that could have set that chip off was his hair.
@bar-down Argentina-Cape Verde is why I support expansion of the tournament. Take it to 64. You can't manufacture drama like that. I don't want to just see the best 16 teams face off. I want to see the best 16 teams have to earn their way there, first. Nobody should be getting on Argentina's case for celebrating that win. It was well-earned, no matter the opponent.
