I haven't watched or listened to a second of this season's nonsense because I have totally given up on Mercer. Good lord, from the scores and things posted here, this might be the lousiest effort he's ever put on the field. Is Dolson paying attention? 

@bucketgetter I have been out on Mercer since he punted the UK regional. He's too tied to his analytics. He can develop offense and the IU offense has been fine outside of slugging, but the pitching is middle school level and doesn't give you a chance.

Anyone who has played baseball past MS knows if you don't throw strikes fielders get restless and flatfooted leading to misplays. It's early and there is time to turn it around, but the problem has been the same for most of his tenure.
