And the huddle made a free board.  Well done Sammy and TJ.

but 15 Bucks is a steal. I’d imagine many of the freeloaders fork over a premium membership sooner or later.  You guys do great work. Excited for football season.  And obviously to educate everyone on how awful Romeo really was when he was here.  Worst 3 point shooter ever if you haven’t heard.  😬

After being a lurker at "the other place" for years, thought I would go ahead and register here...

Romeo did struggle but I found that after following his high school senior season and recruitment, I had high expectations and ever hopeful that he would breakout and be awesome. He had a respectable freshman year but fell short of my expectations.

I wish him nothing but the best...

Romeo couldn't shoot worth a lick.  It's why he never made it.

@dbmhoosier

to be fair…he did “make it”.  He didn’t stick because he wasn’t a good shooter.  But he was good enough to get drafted and play 5 years because the rest was worth seeing if he could figure his shot out.  He didn’t.

Ah, here we are. Cavs first post about Romeo, not surprised. But do agree that more will sign up up for the premie to support as I will be doing soon.

  Welcome all who made it over

Nice to be here and to be able to participate again.  I got inexplicably suspended in the waning days of the old place and didn’t get to say my goodbyes.  Hopefully everyone worth seeing again relocates here.

@iunorth It is amazing he was able to score 16ppg as a freshman. Also he had a hand injury.

  1. Cav if you don't mind this freeloader can talk for himself.  I never buy till I see if the product produces.

I paid for the year subscription but had already made my forum account.  Doesn't seem like the 2 are attached unless it automatically did it due to using same email.  Of course, I don't see any login option for accessing premium content.  Assuming that is something still in the coming soon department.

Anyway, I didn't have a tamar vs romeo subject on my bingo card for one of the first discussions.

All Romeo had to do was stay at IU.  He would have been a special college player.  Instead, he threw it all away and became a side note.  Sad.

@dbmhoosier

That was his glaring weakness. He just couldn't hit 3 pointers consistently. That is today's game. If he had worked that out, he would still be there...

Romeo shot 27.2% from the 3 as a Hoosier and followed up that dismal performance with a career 28.8% in the NBA. Bates was a career 37.3% from the 3 as a college player. Tamar could also make a free throw as he shot an amazing 92.4% from the charity stripe as a collegiate player.
