I am not going to get into any discussion on the coach but so far at least from what I have seen they are the team to cheer for. I have missed alot of games at work but I saw them and they are fun to watch and of course have googles guy.  Maybe they can take down Michigan who knows.

They made it a game for about 30 minutes.

If Dolson has any sense he will dump DeVries and hire Schertz next March.

@iugradman If history is any indication, Schertz will get hired to replace Pope or Hubert Davis next March and we'll miss out on another one...

Schertz is 2-5 head-to-head against DeVries.

Let's go Hoosiers!

A positive stat. I like it. Nobody try to add context because I don't give a ####. 🤣

Schertz has had more success. DeVries has done nothing at a higher level than the MVC.

Had more success at D1? He made the tournament once and won 1 game? Thats success?

You see, DeVries doesnt get a second year to use for comparison, unlike Schertz.

DeVries 3 tournament appearances dont count either. And Schertz beating up on the mighty A-10 with our old friend Archie Miller at Rhode Island, oh wait, Schertz lost to them this year, and DeVries record at West Virginia wasnt as good as Schertz 11-7 against that mighty A10 conference. The MVC doesnt count with schools like Belmont and Murray State. Nobody has ever heard of them having teams. Even though Schertz record in the MVC wasnt as good as DeVries.

I guess. Hopefully that was a joke because if you go by past history DeVries looks better.

People salivating over the "hot" M-M coach again? It appears UNC intends to go big, which IU has failed to do for years. For every May, there are 10 M-M flops.

Next time, I hope IU has a "go big or go home" mentality.

Caveat: Yes, McCollum was a M-M coach, but he's won everywhere he's been. I think the risk was low with him.

The disgruntled will deny facts to fuel their disgruntlement further. Your fact doesn't fit the fantasy narrative.

Hasn't Schertz won everywhere he's been?  He's flipped 3 garbage programs.

And DeVries flipped two. And apparently doesnt get a year two for the next comparison.

Schertz MVC record was under .600, DeVries was .700 .

Championships? At any level? But the NIT runner-up with Indiana State was cool.

He may be a mid-major diamond like May ... or he may be another Archie. All that said, I'd trade coaches with St. Louis in a second.
