@iugradman Hard to believe that you are back on here after all the shit you talked.  To paraphrase.

Dolson just need to be real with fans and admit that IU isn't interested in being good again.

CDD was promised top resources and Dolson isn't delivering.

On and on and ON ad nauseam.

Take it up with the reporters who said IU did not have elite NIL this cycle. Don’t act like my negativity about the program was an unpopular view. There was a lot of discontent out there.  And none of this talent has won a game yet. If they win 25+ games, beat mighty Northwestern  and make it to the second weekend of the tournament, I will eat crow. Or it could be a repeat of Woodson’s last season.

i agree.  This top 5 NIL... then it should translate in the Win column next year against  foes that matter.., top 5 in Big Ten and S16 at a minimum.  Otherwise the ROI is a failure.

It’s fun seeing insiders trip all over the place. It’s nice to see these commits come out of nowhere. Shows how professional this staff is. A lot of fraudulent people around the program.

Only comment on dollars, is I don't recall many believing 12-14 for NIL. Most here said that may have been enough last year but wouldn't be close this year. So I think we expected higher.

I was nervous whether we'd get enough quality guys... NGL, because sounded like numbers would be HUGE. (And they are.) And we needed so many players. Like, all of them. Somehow Indiana is doing it. More to go, we'll see what the rest fills in with, what we afford, but major props to DeVries, Carr, Staff, Dolson, so far! I know there's 'questions' about many we picked up. But happy with this haul.

I was calling for 20m needed to do this right and finding it shouldn't be hard after the football success likely created momentum and revenue.  Looks like they may have close to that amount.  Now they need to be coached

The point is that you bitch about EVERYTHING and it happens ALL THE TIME.

Your negativity wasn't an unpopular viewpoint but most will wait and see what happens as with this portal cycle.

I am quite negative about CDD and continue to be but I am not on here day after day, thread after thread saying it.

It's a free country and you can say what you want but so can I.

To say that you had a good feeling about Cig is the biggest joke I have ever read on an IU forum!  🤣 🤣

Starters

PG - Burton

SG - Lindsay

SF - Mustaf

F/B - Sherrell

C - Yiggy

Core Rotation

Harris

Sisley

Moody

Depth Players

Karvala

Manhertz

Remaining Needs:  Still need another core rotation caliber big, in my opinion.  And then a strong, physical, guard/wing player.

@hoosiers94 agree on being in better shape. I don't put "poor decisions" on him. Hard to make better decisions when you don't have good enough players around you. If I had a criticism of Tucker it was not looking to score the ball earlier, so that he/we might not have been forced into an even worse shot later. That roster was just not good enough to compete in the B10 last year, and that was on his Dad, not on Tucker.

@middawg Alexsis not starting and playing more, is another concern I have about CDD. Think he should have recognized much earlier he needed to start and be on the floor more/most of the time.

Concerns me as well.  Probably more concerning if Bailey played much more earlier due to greater NIL investment in him.

I'll go down with the ship both needed to attempt more  wide open threes, make or miss, to loosen up defenses.

Does anyone know if Lindsey could serve as the back up PG? You have to assume Burton will play 30+ minutes, so we would just need a few minutes here and there. If he can’t, you’re gonna have to add another point guard. If he can, I would just look for a pure three-point shooter. Then, I think you have to add a back-up center given Samet’s foul-prone tendencies. I would prefer both of these kids to be incoming seniors and both would need to know they are likely role players (both due to limited available minutes and I assume limited funds at this point).  All 10 of our current players have at least two years remaining (sure, at least one or two will bolt).  So we will need one year guys to help free up the ‘27 incoming class.

@hoosier-nati

Watched a few minutes of highlights of Lindsay yesterday. His former schools fans were online saying he's useless if his shot isn't dropping. I didn't see that. But, it is highlights...

He has a nice quick step, so he scored on a couple fake and drive moves, and made a couple passes. So I doubt he can play point, but he certainly gives coach the option of lineups without a true point if a couple guys can handle the ball some.

Would love for IU to go after that Mom guy from Iowa St! Best shooter in cbball last year, but is testing the draft waters. He’s a projected 2nd rounder right now, so if he decides to stay in college IU could maybe outbid Iowa st with whatever NIL is left!?

My "poor decisions " comment was in re Tucker.  Not his dad. But he made plenty as well
