Like your idea of 2 bigs as spending major bucks on one guy could place a huge dent in the budget that prevents roster balance.The Bidunga ship has sailed on for IU. I would think so. I don't know how we could 'afford' to wait on his NBA decision, which would be devastating were he to choose the NBA.
On another site, the referenced rumor was that Kansas offered him $3M, and he said he'd need $4 or 4.5M. $ might even be doable (right?), but not unless we were sure of his intention not to go to the NBA.
Under the circumstances, I like the idea of trying to get two bigs for $5M, given that some of these guys only play 20-25M/game for their present teams (eg..Fru, 22M).

Yeah, but it also sounds like there's going to be like 30-40 programs spending 10m+ next year. St. Louis reportedly has a 10m budget next year which says a lot.

It might cost 7-8 million bucks to get both those guys. There have to be A LOT of duos we could get for that money, or less, that I would be more excited about.

any combo of 3 of the 4 highlighted players would cost 8m+ and probably closer to 10m given the numbers being thrown about. that doesn't leave a lot of money for bigs or literally anyone else, for that matter.
Purely speculating but I'm guessing IUBB will need an have between $14 -20m in flexible $ arrive if needed. Lots of heavy hitters want FB and BB playing on the top floor. They certainly are as restless as we on here. They have the only weapon potent enough to do something about it, $. To me it's a pretty simple equation.
Someone should put together a wagering board for the date and time over the next three days that Hurley meets with Haralson and/or his representation.

That seems about right I mean BYU paid 8 million for one player. We probably need to be spending 20 million if we really want to be a legit player if not you will have to hope and pray DD can overachieve like crazy. Right now IU bbal is a tough sell for boosters but we shall see.

I am sure he is a a good player but coming from a a losing program. I remember xavier came from a loser also. Notre Dame was 4-14 last year and these guys may have great individual talent but we need winners will the killer instinct.
