Here's a thread to discuss all the players who left Indiana to play elsewhere. May they each become All-Americans and first-round NBA draft picks. If they can't do that, I hope they shoot better than 45% from the field, wherever they are.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

Renaugh has been putting up good numbers.
While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon
Harun Zrno had 14 points against Tennessee yesterday.
Myles Rice played 10 min vs. Gonzaga last night. 1 point, 1 assist, 2 TOs. Wasn't on the injury report.
To be clear I don't have anything against Myles -- he was fine while at IU.
Malik putting up good numbers shouldn't be surprising. He has always been an elite offensive player. It'll be interesting to see what he does, and how Miami does against BYU and then Ole Miss. He put up decent numbers against Florida, but he showed many of the same weaknesses he had while at IU... defensively, lack of passing skill, etc... And honestly, he wasn't overly efficient offensively... and while Florida has one of the better frontcourts in the country... they dominated Malik, physically, on the interior.
We lost a lot of basketball games while he was one of the focal points for Woodson's offense, in no small part because he isn't an efficient basketball player, and he was focused on heavily. Miami did the same thing against Florida, it looked like Malik had a good game (23 and 11)... but they got thumped because his production is often not great for a teams overall success.
Reneau's Miami vs Florida box score is pretty nasty and typical Reneau if you ask me.
1. 8-23 shooting, including 1-5 from three. 5-6 from the line was solid.
23 points on 23 fg attempts is pretty shit for any big.
2. 4 turnovers.
3. Played 30 min before fouling out.
5 of the 11 boards were offensive which is very good, but something tells me he boarded many of his own misses.
2 blocks, solid
Rice had 0 pts in 12 min vs Bama.
Not sure what’s going on in MD.

That is an ugly line. I made some money betting BYU.
