Indiana's defense is struggling early. Allowing a lot of backdoor cuts. Offense is running through the post with Yigitoglu. 11-10 USA 

Sherrell with 2 blocks and 5 points in 2 minute stretch as Indiana is up 15-12

Manhertz looked great off of a break with a layup. Indiana up 18-15 with 1:19 left in 1st quarter

Prince Alexander-Moody is making an immediate impact defensively

Early thoughts at the end of the first quarter:

Defensive communication is lacking which is expected for a whole new group of guys. IU is athletic enough against this team to clean up some mistakes.

IU is not shooting the ball well. 2-6 from 3pt range. 10-18 from the field. 1-2 from the line.

Sherrell is the real deal. Samet is huge, but needs to be tougher and looks a little fatigued.

Prince-Alexander Moody and Sherrell are the guys who seemed to understand defense. Yigitoglu needs to get into shape. Lyndsay is a polished guard. Burton hasn't impressed me so far. This team hasn't had much time together, and it shows. Lots of work to do, but would love to see improvement throughout this game.
