It's twilight zone episode 26
@gthomas….what do they say…..”The light at the end of the tunnel is the train!”
Just once, I'd like to see IU swim instead of treating water (or drowning).
Michigan State is a final four level team. This game isn’t the one that hurts us. It should have helped us. We did some decent things. But when you lose at home to F ing NW, then you have to figure out how to win this game. And we just weren’t good enough.
agree, we do do some things decent
but for every one thing we do right we do one wrong.....sometimes 2 wrongs for every right
you can't win that way
we don't have the size, talent etc. but could make up for it by being smart, disciplined and fundamentally sound
sadly, we have none of it
When you're barely clinging to the Bubble, every loss hurts. This loss probably doesn't hurt too much.
@hillzhoozier The team simply lacks the talent to compete at a high level. Looks like IU will be NIT bound in year one of the DeVries era. If they do well there's a good possibility all games could be played in Indiana. The initial ones in Bloomington, the semi-finals at Hinkle and the final game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on April 6.
@gthomas IU is really good at swimming. They've won the Big Ten 5 years in a row now.
IU plays hard and I enjoy the style. The issue is talent. They get better talent and the sky is the limit
While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon
@bigmike what good does playing in the NIT do? Most of our guys are not returning, so playing a few meaningless games has zero benefit imo. IF, IU did play, most likely will not go very far=more embarrassment.
Now, if we played and DD played Sisley, Ristic, Miles that could help moving forward.
Someone already stated this, we simply do not have the talent- not all coaching issue. Team is filled with mid major talent. LW is out only “dude”

but the coach chose the talent
