Really SMART play by Conor Enright. He attacks Desmond Claude and forces his third foul plus banks in the shot. 46-35 and Claude is on the bench.
Defense optional.
Triple for Peterson makes it 46-38 and Nick Dorn tosses it away to send us to the last MTO of the first half. IU is ahead 11-8 on the glass.
Interesting zone defense we played for a handful of possessions there. It was effective until that last open 3 we gave up.
Win even if Ugly, is that it? Damn.
Morally Flexible. Kinda.
Sam Alexis blocks an attempt by Zoom Diallo, Tucker DeVries picks up the loose ball and pushes the pace, drains a deep two (to be reviewed). 52-38 timeout UW.

Washington had 24 points after 8 minutes but IU's defense stiffened a bit and the Huskies only scored 16 points in the final 12 minutes of the first half. The Hoosiers lead 52-40 at the break. They shoot 68% from the field, Conerway with 18 points and Enright with 11 to lead the way. IU needs another strong 20 minutes to get an important win. IU with 9 assists to only two turnovers and they lead the rebounding battle 13-10.
Defense the last 10 minutes of half was much better. Good adjustments by players and staff.
Offense was largely good all half. They’re so fun to watch when they’re moving and cutting off screens and off the ball.
@joe_hoopsier What's ugly about scoring 52 points, shooting 68% from the field and turning the ball over only twice in one of half of a Big Ten game against a decent team? I know the defense started poorly but Washington scored only 16 points in the final 12 minutes of the half. That's pretty darn good to me.
67-50-100%. 2pt-3pt-FT's. that will get it done most every time
Insane offense. If we can do this on the road we will be legit.
IU hoops is like a box of chocolates. Sometimes the box is filled with Minnesotas, other times it's filled with Washingtons
@tjinman1987 impressive rebounding performance so far. Washington is usually one of the better rebounding teams in the conference. Part of that is there weren’t as many missed shots as a normal half would provide. But IUs guards came down and helped rebound well.
One good thing about our defense, we stiffened without fouling. Usually when we need to get stops, we get overly aggressive and start fouling. Signs of growth? Hope so.
DeVries also showed some coaching chops with that modified 2-3 zone. That changed the flow of the game in IUs favor.
