Q2 or Q3 win?
Dorn, Wilkerson and DeVries were all really good for the Hoosiers in that half. IU leads 47-32 at the break. Indiana was 8-20 from three, lead 22-14 in rebounding and have 8 assists to just one turnover. That's a darn good 20 minutes.
They should keep wearing these jerseys. Once you go black...
Good half! Avoid the dreaded “it’s been 6 minutes without a bucket!” portion we’ve been prone to and should escape with a road victory.
Just saw St.Louis is 18-1….interesting. JS wins a lot.
@thenickeldimer I LOVE Josh Schertz. SLU is 29th in KenPom and they haven't really played much of a schedule (255th net rating of schedule) but he can absolutely coach.
Zrno, Woodson's old recruit hasn't exactly been lighting it up for Rutgers. Was hoping Trent Sisley could get it going this game. He's been struggling as of late. Perhaps the second half will be a good one for him.
Rutgers makes a few shots to start the second half but IU responds and stays hot on offense. Nick Dorn is shooting it great, particularly from the corner, and IU leads by 20 (60-40) at the first MTO.
Rutgers has scored 7 straight and IU takes a timeout with 13:02 remaining. The Hoosiers still lead 60-47 but they need to respond before this one gets tight.
Rutgers cuts the lead to 12 points but Tayton Conerway gets a key four straight points on drives and helps IU push the margin back to 18 at the under-eight MTO.
Conerway nice spark with those 2 hoops. Tucker with a bad turnover from a weak lob pass attempt to Alexis.
Sad how little interest there is. Only a handful in this thread and the live chat has two of us.
@unclemark it’s a little shocking to the system, but not surprising given the football season and lack of success on the hardwood.
we will ramp our coverage up for basketball this week too, so hopefully that gains some interest. Just win games and people will trickle back in.
This officiating crew hasn't been very kind to the Hoosiers. They are terrible.
Really good performance and a much-needed road win for the Hoosiers. They're back at with a huge test against the Purdue Boilermakers on Tuesday night.
