IU nearly cut it to three but Enright missed the open three (another good look), Baylor hit a step back three to make it 9. Another great pass from DeVries for a layup for Alexis cut it to 7 and then Enright got a bucket on a goaltending on a drive. 41-36 Baylor leads at the half.
Overall, that was a pretty encouraging half (in my opinion). IU is just 2-10 from 3 but they were getting good looks. Wilkerson with 16, DeVries with 9. Baylor is +8 on the glass but IU is +3 in turnovers.
Lamar Wilkerson nails a long three on the handoff from Bailey and IU cuts it to 41-39...Baylor hits a tough layup to extend the lead to 4. DeVries then another great pass (a theme for him) but Bailey missed the bunny.
Bailey connects on a nice post move and then Conerway forces a turnover with ball pressure (two times in a row). IU's point guard then drives and dunks to tie it up and Baylor calls time.
unless he starts shooting with a women's bball
Wilkerson needs to step in a bit
much better
Lamar Wilkerson nails a three-pointer and the Hoosiers lead 46-45! Sam Alexis then gets a block on the other end. IU misses two open three-pointers but the Hoosiers battle to get a rebound followed by a loose-ball foul to give them a third opportunity. DeVries missed in the paint but good battle.
Indiana leads 48-45 as Lamar Wilkerson throws a really nice pass forward to Tayton Conerway for a fast break layup. Darian DeVries was fired up and the bench was on their feet (more passion than we've seen from the IU staff in multiple previous seasons) but Conerway picked up his fourth foul. That's a problem for a team without much depth right now.
Conerway is back in with four fouls and he had a blocked shot. Obviously, I don't think Darian DeVries would be playing him here if this was a regular season game. He makes the most of it and follows his block up with a pass to Alexis for a dunk.
Tucker DeVries is SOOO good. He makes the correct pass ahead to Lamar Wilkerson, Wilkerson drives and gets it back to DeVries, he then shot fakes and takes one dribble to nail a triple and make it 55-47 Hoosiers. Time out Baylor.
Baylor has some talent
we have to get better on the glass
