I will surely be kicking myself for posting this 3-6 months from now, but today, I am happy. Brad Stevens has gifted the 76ers a lifeline for Joel Embiid's career, taken on the bad Paul George contract, and shipped off a former Finals MVP in Jaylen Brown.
And this is the guy we wanted as IUBB's coach? 😉
*of course, being tongue in cheek here. Brad is very smart and yes, I still want him as IUBB's coach. Also, given the 76ers history with the Celtics, this trade is sure to backfire in a catastrophically unpredictable way.

I'm sure @bradstevens feels the same way about you.
I'm not sure what's going on with this trade, but I do know that as a Pacers fan, Paul George can EABD.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

@evanalvarez8 If they don't also land LeBron now... I picture Philly standing in the middle of a dance floor, alone, partying away, while everyone stares at them awkwardly after the music stops. And then realizing... man, he doesn't move the ball well... how we going to maximize him, and Maxey's speed and skill, and Edgecombs playmaking abilities and explosiveness, and Embiids ISO needs... and man, he doesn't really defend well off the ball, how we going to cover up Embiids lack of mobility defensively against teams like Boston, Indiana, Cleveland... and man, what the hell is he saying, basically on a nightly basis on his live streams?... and man, he wants a SuperMax deal?? What about Maxey? What about Edgecomb? What about Embiid?
If they do land LeBron, who is probably the actual perfect star player to play with their current stars... then I still think some of the above concerns are there, but at least you'd have the ultimate alpha to coordinate it all. And if Brown were to "fall in line", and try to complement all those other guys, they'd be the best team in the NBA...
So... I think LeBron could save this deal. A title makes most anything worthwhile. But the after effects when contract time rolls around for Brown, and Maxey, and Edgecombe... Brown will be the odd man out, almost certainly.
