@hooky he came into the dealership I worked at and was a real jerk. I had a hat on that I used for work(old and dirty) and he got onto me because it wasn’t an IU hat. His personal life is….well something.

He never pulled it together after basketball. Had a series of sketchy MLM businesses and shit like that. Expected to make a living playing Mr. Basketball for life.

@openwheel

He was a part of the staff. He was part of the problem.

@unclemark He was the #1 overall pick, so living off of bball wasn't exactly a pipe dream. I wonder if that punch did diminish his ability and career. Sure seems like it.

11 or 12 year NBA player.  Not sure what he made over that stretch, but probably enough that he could have invested smartly and have a few million squirreled away by the time he hit 65.

Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

@openwheel There is no doubt Dan Dakich loves IU. He just wants them to win.

While I regarded God as a tyrant I thought my sin a trifle; But when I knew Him to be my Father, then I mourned that I could ever have kicked against Him. When I thought God was hard, I found it easy to sin; but when I found God so kind, so good, so overflowing with compassion, I smote upon my breast to think that I could ever have rebelled against One who loved me so, and sought my good.” C. H. Spurgeon

@fred-c-dobbs the stories are all bs.  He is a compulsive liar.  I’m too young to appreciate Bobby and Kent sold his soul to PU.  Every time I see cockitch I get annoyed.  Used cars salesman that has done harm to the IU brand.  In his dna is bullshitting.

Most all of the damage done to IU was done by the admins and the hires they have made imo. Most people do not even listen to DD.
