He just got another term. Appointed by the governor. There are no more elections to the BOT. It's now all appointments.

To a governor, co-opting millions for your buddies, seems like the normal thing to do. Not having a clue about the job, also seems standard.

@surjay Well what would a forum be without ill-considered hot takes. Actually works out for the best, if he had blown out Iowa St. it would just make it easier to think he's the guy we should have hired.
@ams66 We'll need years of evidence before knowing that. I recall the daily "we should have hired Holtmann" posts the prior board had.
@surjay He'll be more successful at Iowa than DD is at IU, imo. He's the real deal ... and not just because Iowa had a solid 1st half against Iowa State.
@gthomas I don't care if he's not elite. Holtman was better than Archie, who cares?
BM hasn't done anything special so far let alone anything that screams elite, yet.
