I’m so glad Quinn and the boosters made sure Woodson got a fourth season. DeVries is always going to be compared to Dusty May.
DeVries was a good hire and is an excellent coach imo. But yeah I do think for the next 15 years or so it will be a case where Michigan has Knight and we have Keady.
May was such an obvious hire in 2024. Any school worth a damn would have hired an alum with so much recent success. It was beyond obvious Woodson was not going to work out by his third season. The worst part is those responsible for putting IU basketball in this position never suffer any negative consequences. Hopefully they learned to stay the hell out of coaching searches in the future.

@spartans9312 we should not settle for good..... MI has a great coach and beat the zags by 40. Can you imagine what our fanbase would do if DD wins the big ten tourney this year and goes to the sweet 16.... and then wins a early season tourney next year whiling beating the #12 ranked zags by 40 and ranked #1 on kenpom?
We could have hired Stevens and May, all involved should never be allowed to come back to the hall, EVER!

13 months can just be a flash in the pan. Dusty will probably do well but let’s not crown him as great until he has done it over a long period of time.

Too early to tell if we got the right Drake coach, but Iowa has 10 points in 12 minutes tonight. I'd prefer to watch, and hope, Lamar and Tucker can make shots. We will find out soon enough, Louisville is the real deal.
