At least MSU won't be coming in off a loss.
Doesn't matter either way, I fear. If they had come in off a loss, IU would be MSU's "get right" game.At least MSU won't be coming in off a loss.
Miami OH continues undefeated after Western Michigan took them to the wire.
Michigan beats Illini soundly in Champaign, guessing that doesn't change much for either team but maybe hurts Illinois chance for a 2 seed. The win clinches the B1G regular season title for Michigan.
Hawkeyes with a bad loss at Penn State.

Yikes. They've now lost to PSU, Maryland and Minn. 2 losses against 130+ rated KP teams.
Minnesota just beat UCLA.
I wonder how many losses it will take for M-O to miss the NCAAT (if they don't win the conference tourney). Not many, I'd assume. Two or three???Miami OH continues undefeated after Western Michigan took them to the wire.
I haven't seen them play or looked at the metrics, so I'm interested to hear (read) from those more informed.

Pearl thinks they need to win their conference tournament.

@dbmhoosier If they lose their only game in the conference final, I'd assume they're in. Again, I don't know squat about the Miami RonHarpers, but I don't see them being left out at, like, 30-1 ... even if they metrically don't deserve a bid. But if their metrics are that weak, 2 could be the death number.
But what do I know? I'm not nearly as brilliant as the NCAAT Committee.
Big loss.
That sucks for the kid.
Re: Miami(OH) That would suck for them too, but that's probably the reality. The last time the Mac had to 2 teams in the tourney it Miami and Kent State. Kent State went to the Elite 8 that year with Antonio Gates playing ahead of the NFL draft.

@dbmhoosier Pearl is most likely right about Miami (Ohio). The major ranking services don't think much of them. The NCAA Net Rank has them at 49 prior to their Western Michigan win. Torvik puts them at 78 and after the WMU game, Ken Pom has them at 87. No NCAA bid if they don't win out.
Oh my god is Maryland horrible. It's one of the few men's games on right now. Rutgers is just mugging them 30-16 and the terps have 11 turnovers with 4+ minutes left in the half. What a shit game to watch. No wonder there's only about 4K people in the gym.

Illinois narrowly defeats Maryland today to keep triple-bye in the BTT.
NEB v. IA is a great game. IA down 10 points most of the game, came back in the last five to force overtime.
