Gotta like Coach Devries eye for recruits, basing it only on the very tiny sample size. But the Frosh appear to be able to ball... Promising!
Now, let's hope Coach can get a little more size in the next couple freshman classes. He identified some good all-around players for this year.
Not as sure about the transfer portal guys, LOL . But several look good.
Also, Sisley looks more powerful, a bit quicker. I like his game. He is developing. I hope he doesn't have to play inside all the time, but we will need him there again I guess.
@iureactionary What happened to Manhertz?
So I'm thinking.....Manhertz is the smoothest recruit 6'9" or above we've had since Jeffries....now I'm not saying he's anything near Jeffries as a basketball player.....but on the smoothness metric of running, jumping, handling, alone, he's up there. Kinda reminds me of a better shooting, better ball-handling, much less physical Jeff Newton.
i'm a big fan and you can see why he was a top 60-ish recruit because the skill set is something to dream on in modern basketball.
we will see what happens when they play actual teams but him being a part of the rotation, as things stand, seems more likely than before, that's for sure.
Manhertz had some games last year for his 'all star' school, where he disappeared now and then. His shooting percentage was rather low also, for a shooter.
But sure looks like he has made big gains in a short time. Very cool. Unless it's like playing against low level high school comp in this tourney.
