You’d think they have never won anything in their lives. I swear every, and I do mean every, single post on social media about IU football and Fernando, always has multiple responses about how we are frauds, how they will kill us, how much better Sayin is. Even when there is no mention or comparisons. This week and the attention we are getting really broke them. Putting up the stats of Sayin’s game against Penn State, etc. They are so tiresome, I don’t even need to look to know they are Buckeye fans.
I avoid reading anything OSU fans say. I block all their accounts.
Their fanbase sucks. Always serious and combative — they can rarely joke around and chill out.
@tammany It sucks that they are going to get Monshun Sales. 3 freaking years in a row they sign the best player in the state of Indiana.
Hopefully we can get their downfall started, its not right that their fanbase has never had to experience multiple losing seasons lol. A loss to Michigan, a loss in the CCG, and having to play a road playoff game would be a good start to humbling them.
I’d love to see it. Unfortunately, as we know they just turned over a lot of their roster and changed both coordinators and they’re still very good. That place is a college football factory.
Anyways — knock on wood we’ll get a crack at them on a neutral field hopefully with a healthy team. We can beat them.
@hoosierdaddy I’m not sure they are going to get him. He’s got several relatives still in Bama pulling for him. He’s also really close to his mom, who would like to see him stay home. Not sure how close he is to Omar, but his success can’t hurt.
@zeke4ahs He has publicly said that OSU and Bama are the 2 schools hes seriously considering
On the bright side, we have a 5* DL in the 2028 class on campus this week
@hoosierdaddy I talked to my friend who knows him well ( she also told me Omar was coming before he announced) because I heard about his two schools. She said his mom really wanted him to come to IU, although Columbus isn’t that far. I didn’t realize he has just been in Indy for a coup,e of years and he has lots of close ties and grew up a Bama fan. Anyway, she said she thought IU still had a chance. Guess we will know soon.
Well, I would've said the reason is, it's just in the water.
But I said that about why we couldn't make a free throw under Woodson. But now under a new coach, we are making them.
So, it must be the coach.
I don't know. I guess we just are. 😉
I grew up in Columbus. My mother (RIP) was from Indiana. I wish she was still here to see what Indiana has become.
I don't blame any of you for despising Ohio State or its fans. We have an excellent team but we can definitely be beaten, just ask Iran, er, Michigan.
Only a self-important, d-bag school insists on putting "The" before its name.
Hey Ohio State, THE f*** you.
OSU tore our goalposts down and threw roses on the field.
But Im not sure that's as tasteless as calling U of M "Iran".
It's common for Kentucky fans to wander onto IU basketball boards and trash talk or just talk in general, but seeing OSU football fans suddenly have an interest in IU football is humorous to say the least.
Just a few years under Cig and a bunch of us IU fans will be full of ourselves. In fact probably are already to other fanbases. Although I still hear some nice 'rooting for Indiana' now and then.
It is astonishing seeing the comments under Joel Klatt's blog/youtube on the game though. Major 'likes' for every post that pumps OSU or promotes Sayen. Few likes and many negative replies to anybody that even hints that Mendoza is a very good player.
I know which fan base is doing the most trolling. Although some were SEC also. (To them Joel Klatt is apparently F###baum, lol)
We're getting trolled by the bigger fanbases now! We've arrived?
,
Ohio State fans believe that only Buckeye players are any good and everyone else sucks.
@tr32 I'm amused by all the rancor about IU in football circles, and us not "belonging". Our rise and success has been so rapid and amazing, I see it as nothing but a compliment to be there. The fact that that annoys folks at the traditional powers only makes me smile. Hope we keep annoying them all year!
If they're threatened now, just wait until CCC starts getting some of the 4 and 5* guys. Then they'll really be threatened!
Possible that by that time with a natty in the books that IU will be accepted to the party.@tr32 I'm amused by all the rancor about IU in football circles, and us not "belonging".
