I dont hate any of our rivals, dislike some than others. Purdue sucks. Illinois sucks. Michigan sucks, Ohio State sucks. Kentucky really sucks.
I hate, hate IU sucking. And that is self made. Most of our football fans said for decades we could win in football at this beautiful campus if the admin gave a shit. And most knew we would win in basketball if the admin removed head from posterior.
At least the football part finally came true. Beyond, actually.
So since I hate suckage. Right now I hate Northwestern and the Big Ten tournament... We have a few years left to win it, if they end it due to NCAA tourney expansion, or forever be 0-fer? Horrible!
I guess per the thread topic though, the schools I most like to beat (or dislike ) in order: Purdue in any sport, Illinois in any sport, Kentucky in basketball, Michigan in any sport. Oh, and the rare times we get a shot, Notre Dame.

Poor Illinois. Northwestern isn't a fun rival and Mizzou is just basketball. They poke a lot at Purdue and as you said also us, but both schools just won't bite and give them the attention they desire.
1. Purdue. As an IU fan, hating Purdue is a requirement. It's just part of the deal.
2. Ohio State. I grew up in the Detroit as a Wolverine fan. Same as #1... when you're a Michigan fan, you are taught to hate Ohio State.
3. Kentucky. No explanation needed.
4. Duke. I'll never get over the 1992 Final Four. Never. I will carry that with me into eternity.
I don't hate any other programs themselves. Never have equated rivalry with hate. That said, seeing Notre Dame and Ohio State fail gives me great pleasure, just because their fan bases are so entitled and arrogant, watching them lose it is entertaining.
I LOVE the way Coach Cig pimp slaps Purdue; and everyone else he can, to be honest. I have great respect for PU as an academic institution but have enjoyed the last two Bucket games so much!
Being a lifelong resident of northern Indiana, who has spent the past 30+ years living in Michiana, I truly despise ND. Most of their fans are insufferable jerks. The university, and those insufferable fans, have an incredibly inflated self-image of importance. They are condescending and incapable of realizing that the university and football team are often quite hypocritical.
