For me it's Notre Dame. Decades of being the red-headed (which I am, hence "Ginger") stepchild to that obnoxious fan base sealed it for me. I wish we could have knocked them off for the Natty last year.
It's Purdue for me. it'll always be Purdue. I don't like Notre Dame, but they're not Purdue. We don't play Kentucky. Ohio State may be number two on the Sh*t list.
People who actually went to Notre Dame and are fans are fine, it's the Subway Alumni who are the worst.
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
PUke #1 since time began.
#2 Meatchicken for over 7 decades.
Purdue
Kentucky (although now that we barely play them, they may drop)
Ohio State
May be we beat PU by more than 66 points this coming year.
Yup pUKe would be my 3rd cause their decades of unscrupulous cheating earned it.
Purdue
Kentucky
O$U
Meatchicken
Shuckers (Thanks Frost)
Notre Dame

Well, while we didn't play them last year, the damage was done. The crimson headed stepchild blindsided ND with a 16-0 +479 point diff natty. We did what they have been trying so hard to do for 37 years. It's so damn funny. And it really bothered them, they have not taken it well.
Hopefully they don't win it all this year. We'll see. Things have definitely flared up between IU and ND.
As for who we "hate" most (in a sporting context). For me it's still PU, UK (even though it's just MBB), then OSU/UM, then probably ND, who I've always found a bit snobby with overrated teams/fight song/mascot.
But again, what we did last season really bothered them. Which is great.
#1 - Purdue
#2 - Kentucky
#3 - Purdue
#4 - Kentucky or any school in Kentucky
#5 - Alabama (Hey we played them once and I can see us playing them soon again
#6 - Purdue
#7 - Kentucky or any school in Kentucky
#8 - ALL SEC schools, but 'Bama just a bit more
#9 - Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan... except when they're playing an SEC school
#10 - Purdue
.... that's it.
Oh, did I mention Purdue and Kentucky?
Football: PU, ND, OSU.
Bball: PU, UK, UM. Lville (now. Going to hurt w them having Dusty for awhile). Past time for us to start pulling our weight!
1 Purdue
2 Kentucky
3 Purdue
4 Illinois
5 Purdue
6 Notre Dame
7 Purdue
8 Michigan
9 Purdue
10 Ohio State
Purdue... always...
Then probably SEC.
Then Notre Dame.
I don't really "hate" the better B10 teams. IU has spent so many years sucking their exhaust fumes, it seems a little "little brother" ish to fully hate on them after only a couple years at their level. Give Cig, and then hopefully Haines or Shanahan a 4-5 year runway of competing for B10's and Natty's, and I think I can see some pretty strong, fundamental, hatred for OSU. I already do hate their fans, probably more so than any other fan base. But again, it seems iffy to hate OSU, at this point.

Running up scores on us, rushing our field after a win, tearing down our goalposts, plenty of reasons to hate on the better big 10 teams.

1. Ohia St.
2. UK bball
3. Millennial and younger jackass Purdue fans on social media.
4. The effing bball losing streaks to Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.
5. Myles Brand and whatever AD and whatever BOT who established the framework and culture to flush bball and football success down the portojohn shitter for 25 years.
Some perspective. Haven't lived in Indiana since the late 90's since leaving IU. Grew up around Ft. Wayne in the 70's through 90's. IU fans outnumbered Purdue 9:1 so Purdue was always a flea on an elephants back in those days.
No hate toward ND as their football program operated in a different world than IUs. Was never a fan of ND football, but get why the high percentage of NE Indiana Catholics of the GenX and older generations had a vested interest in their football success.
Speaking generally, back then it felt there was a significant hate for most @ people in NE Indiana toward everything and anything Ohio that I have carried forward and continues to fuel my hatred today.
UK bball, our biggest rival from my eyes, easy to hate given Indiana's downswing jumpstarted and coincided with UKs upswing.
@middawg 1. Ohio State because of their fans screaming "O H I O back and forth at our football games. 2. Purdue because they are Purdue, SEC
