In addition to playing on a very good team with a strong culture and big goals, Nick is trying to become a first round NFL pick this season.
Like Sammy said, who knows what this is about, and there is a decent chance it's nothing about football. If it's something, hopefully everyone works it out because everyone has the same goal here.
As a side note, I'd guess there are personnel issues that pop up throughout the year that everyone has to work through, we just don't hear about them. It's just the nature of a CFB locker room full of ~100 18-23 year olds in a super competitive environment. I'd guess the key is keeping the issues to a minimum and working through whatever comes up. It's part of what a great staff can do.
A lot of grown men here jumping to conclusions about a vague social media post. The funny part? These men are calling the poster a drama queen instead of looking in the mirror.
C'mon, people. Be better than this.
And I just met his grandma last week. Lmao
I honestly believe that this has nothing to do with IU football... Thinking that it is, is meshuggeneh and narishkeit
Mama Tron has spoken. She posted a pic of the schedule and said “ the main thing…”. I’ll relax now. PS I know I’m a worry wart
I would imagine the clusterfuck that is the CSC holding up player funds will lead to some entertaining social media outbursts by high end players in the coming months.
Hoping some Purdue fan didn't leave a flaming bag of pooh on his doorstep.
@esalum86 I mean, is making cryptic social media posts not typical drama queen behavior? How is it not?
@jj_mcclure The thing is, if he was a normal person it would be fine. But he’s an elite athlete and he knows how fan bases are. Evidently he did this at MSU too. I imagine this will be his last .
@jj_mcclure I think the solution is that grown men should not read into 19 year olds post. Making a nonsensical post doesn’t make him a drama queen. It makes him 99% of 19 year olds. Pay checks don’t change that fact.

Agree. This is pretty tepid stuff from Nick. Until a real pattern develops, there just isn't much here.
Also, he's on our team. He's one of our guys. Sure he is getting paid, but he picked IU over a ton of schools. Why assume the worst from a two word post?
@evillehoosier8 No, it wasn’t nonsensical at all actually. It was calculated to draw attention and garner a reaction which is exactly what drama queens do. If you’re going to criticize people for pointing that out you might as well be attacking them for saying that the sky is blue and water is wet. IOW, get over yourselves…
@jj_mcclure it is what drama queens do, but that does not make anyone who shows attention seeking behavior to be a drama queen. My 19 year old is as self assured in his own goofy way as anyone I’ve ever met and cares little for friends outside his circle, and he can seek out attention just like all 19 year olds. It comes with the age, but grown folks should know better than to make too much of it.
One could say that it is quite dramatic to take your interpretations to a public forum , calling a 19 year old a name, and then defending your point by conflating your opinion with facts. IOW, ease up on the irony……
@evillehoosier8 Is that typical though? At that age I know I was always focused on blending in and not sticking out, but I will concede that I may be out of touch on this.
@jj_mcclure I would call it more typical than not from this generation. However, to not sound like a complete hypocrite, I was probably guilty of peacocking around trying to get attention from every pretty girl with a pulse up North Jordan at 19 as well. We are all a bunch of idiots at that age. My wife and I regularly laugh about how much she would have probably loathed me if we didn’t meet in our 30s. With that being said, the kid could turn out to be a complete basket case, but I just don’t think this is the indicator for that narrative
