The issue is Cignetti was actually mature and complimented Purdue.
So what Cig decides to do sets the level of how much of an asshole the Purdue guy is? Seems mostly unrelated.
I'd do it Cig's way. But in rivalries, Odom won't be the first guys to snub the opponent.
@openwheel He's also the one trying to build and make a name for himself. Gushing over IU, with his fan base, probably isn't a great idea. Doing so, before a likely ass beating, probably doesn't enamor him to the people that matter most to his Purdue livelihood.
@iunorth I think everyone understands and expects coachspeak. He's taken his shots at IU and our schedule.
Cig said 'Purdue Sucks!' before he ever coached a practice. 
@zeke4ahs Michigan is not good this year. They played 2 good teams all season and lost by multi scores both times. Michigan is in the Northwestern/Nebraska tier of the B1G this season
