@thehoosierhuddle I really hope Illinois can pull it out. Much better for us to play them when they are undefeated and will make our game more likely to be on national tv.
@iunorth Agreed. We want the B1G to be strong so that when we beat them it can’t be dismissed.
Watching IU, of course. No other game matters.
Florida and Clemson on major upset alert
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
Good news for Florida that loss to USF could turn into a quality loss
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
Florida’s unearned ranking is out the window.
#’s 12,13,15, and 17 go down today! Yet IU will probably drop out the top 25 and Michigan will move up 5 spots although they lost to Okla!🙄
I am a little surprised at both results. Illinois won bigger than I thought and Iowa lost an important game for Kurt. The Iowa coach staff have done an excellent job of down grading another QB.
BEAT PURDUE
@thehoosierhuddle ah the SEC is always looking to make there losses "quality " ones. Better for the voters.
BEAT PURDUE
83 yards in game 2.....reading the Iowa forums.....he's been bad but they also have no plan and no WRs. They don't have a game changer TB like last year either.@mushroomgod After the hype I was pretty surprised Gronowski only had 44 yards passing in their opener. I suspect he's quite a bit better than that... but we'll see...
Who you watching this weekend?
Pretty brutal BT slate:
--N. Illinois at MD
--W. Illinois at NW
--FIU at PSU
--Illinois at Duke
--KSU at IU
--Iowa at ISU
--NW State at MN
--OK St at Oregon
--Miami OH at Rutgers
--MTNN State at Wisconsin
--Michigan at OK
--Akron at Nebraska
--Georgia So. at USC
--BC at MSU
--S. Illinois at Purdue
--UCLA at UNLV
--Grambling at OSU
--UC Davis at Washington
Some thoughts--
--Interesting that UCLA would agree to play at UNLV.
--Illinois is only favored by 3 or so at Duke. If they are really legit they should win by 10+. We'll see.
--ISU is only a 3.5 pt favorite over Iowa. That seems low. Iowa could get trashed.
--OK State 27.5 dogs v. Oregon. Wow. That OK St program is sliding bad. I haven't liked them since they were so classless after they smacked us in a bowl game many years ago.
--Rutgers favored by 14.5 over Miami OH. Sounds like a lot. Miami lost 17-0 at Wisconsin. RU beat Ohio 34-31 at home.
--Michigan at OK. OK favored by 5.5. Sounds about right.
--BC at MSU. MSU by 3.5. Seems like a pretty big game for MSU. Lose and there's not much excitement for the rest of the season. Should be a tight one.
--I'll be interested in the USC/Georgia So. score. Is USC back?
Interesting NC games: Not one great match-up, but these are worth watching.
--Baylor at SMU
--Ole Miss at UK. Very interesting.
--Kansas at Missouri. I know a lot of people like Kansas this year. Mo favored by 6.5 or so. I think they cover that pretty easily.
--W. Virginia at Ohio. Very interesting that WV would agree to play at Athens. That's a game I'd like to see in person, as Athens is such a cool campus (stadium is nothing special tho). Ohio is only a 3.5 point dog. Seems low.
Here's a look at this WE's schedule:
Big Ten: There really isn't a compelling game involving BIG Ten teams this weekend:
--ISU at IU;
--New Mexico at UCLA;
--Oregon at NW;
--C. Michigan at Michigan;
--Wisconsin at Bama;
--Houston Christian at NEB;
--Towson at MD;
--Villanova at PSU;
--USC at Purdue;
--Norfolk St at Rutgers;
--Youngstown St at MSU;
--Ohio at OSU;
--W. Michigan at Illinois;
--U Mass at Iowa;
--MINN at Cal;
--Washington is idle
I don't think the odds are out as I write. The margins of victory for Oregon, Bama, USC, and OSU will be interesting. Minnesota at Cal might be the most competitive game? Got to hand it to Nebraska....did not know there was a school named Houston Christian.
National games of interest:
--TX A& M at ND;
--Georgia at TENN;
--USF at Miami;
--Clemson at GT;
--Pitt at WV;
--Arkansas at Ole Miss;
--Florida at LSU
Top 3 games will be the most watched; however, I think ND & Miami win their games with relative ease. Georgia at Tennessee to me should be the game of the week.

Houston Christian is formerly Houston Baptist, where I believe Bailey Zappe got his start as OC before going to WKU (and scaring the hell out of IU 2 years in a row) and is now a head coach somewhere?
@mushroomgod Add Vandy at South Carolina. I’m very excited to have a full Saturday of games to watch.
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
A long way to go in the game, but ODU is up 21-0 at Virginia Tech midway through the 2nd quarter.
