Urban Meyer, during the pregame, was talking about IU's "soft" schedule. He claimed that IU's starters haven't been needed in the 4th quarter this season (I guess he was in a coma for the Northwestern game) and that that would adversely impact IU in a close game. He noted (correctly) that IU would need to play four quarters today, and then was the only one of the four who predicted Nebraska would get the W.
IU played its BEST ball today in the 4th quarter!
Great win! Go Hoosiers!!!!
I wasn't watching the pregame, but yea not being aware of the NW game is pretty bad for a guy who covers the B1G. Also NW is a good opponent.
He was almost correct. I understand where he was coming from, and he was one of our biggest supporters last year. Glad we escaped with the W. Not easy to win on the road in the BIG against an undefeated team with 86,000 fans.

urban meyer, saban too....
"please don't forget about us"
Calm down.
Urban Meyer has been as big a fan of Cignetti's as exists among the coaches in the media. Much better than Saban. He's been effusive in his praise.
He kinda predicted this game right: Nebraska did ambush us. That was much closer than most thought it would be.
And up to now, our schedule had been soft. We played one good Power 4 team in 5 games. Now, we've played two in six, and I personally think both NW and NE should be ranked.
But now the schedule gets tougher and we see if we're a really good team or an actual contender.
@bradstevens I absolutely agree that NW and Neb should both be ranked. They both have really good QBs that the IU D had trouble stopping. I think each will finish the season bowling with winning records.
By the way, this is not what Urban Meyer said (for those who are on the WaterCooler, this shouldn't surprise you). You can go to the recording at 1:06:40.Urban Meyer, during the pregame, was talking about IU's "soft" schedule. First, he didn't say they haven't been needed in the 4th quarter all of this season. Instead, he said in all "but one game"--the Northwestern game that I guess he wasn't in a coma for.
Second, he didn't say that would adversely impact IU in a close game--it was a question: he asked would it impact IU this year (after admitting it did not last year). Pretty valid question to ask coming into this game. Fortunately, IU answered it in the way we wanted.
