The man gets it and IU is damn lucky to have him.
I love that man.
He just shows why players want to play for him. His mindset has been brought down to his entire staff and that is why recruiting has been so successful. GoHoosiers
That was a good press conference
He makes the fall worth living!
- He’s got a pinch of Bobby Knight in him when he’d do those epic press conferences. When he was in a good mood…
@thehoosierhuddle that was a presser with a measured edge, perfect. Let's go get'em Coach.
BEAT PURDUE
Coach Cignetti set the Big Ten on it's ear yesterday--Love it!!
@red-hornet and most other B1G coaches are thinking it and loved the comments.
So far he's been the ideal fit:
- Brought a whole program with him (staff and players), IU needed all that
- Can win without huge resources
- Seems to fit in well at IU, we caught him at a unique point in his career where he is older and experienced, but he's younger than his age and has a lot of years left. If he keeps this up there will be concerns about keeping him, but his age profile isn't ideal for most programs, and hopefully he just flat out likes being at IU and he's getting what he needs and he doesn't want to restart somewhere else.
As IUFB works to take the next step, I think his experience with Bama and Nick will continue to help. He knows from the inside what the gold standard in CFB looks like and hopefully how to get IU closer to that. It won't be easy, and there will be bumps in the road, but fingers crossed he can do it...
when your coach gets grown men crying on social media in july while being factual, you know you've got a good one.

I don’t know if he can go to a SEC school after what he said yesterday lol. I’m guessing Michigan might pursue him if Moore bombs.

SEC fans would have selective amnesia if they needed to. winning trumps all.
@tammany -I like Curt Cignetti a lot, but agree with everything you said,---lol.
