I know we all made fun of USC and their attendance last weekend, but these noon games in this heat are no joke. This is the only game I’ll miss this year and I hate it but can’t give up the last summer weekend at the lake. If I was going, I’d be bringing a small battery powered fan, a small water mister and a water bottle with electrolytes to refill. Oh and probably one of those towel things you wet and put around your neck. Looks like it’s not going to be sunny, so that’s good. I saw a couple people need help from medic last year at one of these games. Be careful!
I'll be in an airport. Had to travel, but made sure I got a long layover so I could pay $19 for a beer while I watched.
Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for. - Seamus Heaney, Irish poet and likely Hoosier basketball fan.

I'll be in a Philly hotel room most likely, streaming it, as I doubt it'll be on Fox out there. I'd rather be there in the heat.
Yes, plan ahead and take care. Make a lot of noise for the home team!

Gonna by laying in my apt pool with a portable tv and cooler full of Gameday Lager!
I’m starting Thursday night. Son on the Castle freshman team then Friday…then Saturday and finally Sundays games. Neighbor and I will be using the grills and smokers. Heat be damned!
@zeke4ahs working maintenance in a smelter gets me ready for those games. 😝. Seriously though. Heat stress is no joke. Hydration is a science.

Ha — that is an especially unique and legit way to get accustomed to heat.
i better see a $190 tab homie….I'll be in an airport. Had to travel, but made sure I got a long layover so I could pay $19 for a beer while I watched.

We will be there drinking lots of water with the electrolytes. The water refill stations will be busy but are a life saver. I also saw some people get rather heat sick. I think drinking alcohol hurts being a diuretic and some people drink lots of beer trying to stay hydrated which is really a mistake as it runs all the water out of you. Save the beer for after the game when out of the heat!
