Oregon didn’t look great. The prospect of a rematch in the semifinal doesn’t seem as intimidating to me tonight as it did a couple weeks ago.
I don’t watch a ton of football anymore, but from what I’ve seen so far, it looks like it’s OSU,UGA, & IU, & then everyone else. Haven’t seen TTU.
Agree on OSU, UGA, IU. I think Oregon is a viable winner, but a step below the prior mentioned.
TTU is a legitimate team, and same boat as Oregon IMO. They have the talent to beat any team any given day, especially with how good their front 7 is, but I dont think their qb makes it through 3 games unscathed. Hes missed a lot of time and is made of glass
Northwestern is beating up Central Michigan and doing a nice job representing the mighty Big Ten this bowl season.
This is why Tulane and JMU don't belong. Sorry this feel good empathy towards these low tier schools started when Boise State beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl in 2007. Ever since it's been a push to put these teams in a position to "have a chance ". It's a once a decade upset that now has tainted the CFP.
no way they were better than ND.
Miami sure proved the committee got their inclusion correct.
ND didn't do anything to deserve getting in. Speculating match ups is why they finally developed a playoff system.
ND would have played UVA or Duke in an ACC final and may have won. But instead they refuse to play in a real conference and refuse to play a balanced schedule, which is why they are sitting at home.
For all the talk against IU last year, no one brought up that ND played 3 road games.
If ND had a schedule like Wisconsin or Auburn did this year, they'd be a lot worse off than they are- which is why no one feels sorry for them. They've stacked the deck for years with their schedule. Try playing in the Big Ten East for a decade and put 6 road games on the schedule then get back to us.
JMU lost their coach, rebounded with a 1 loss season, won their conference. They deserved a shot.

Notre Dame was left out for Alabama. JMU got in because Virginia lost. Had they won it would have ben UVA in the 11 or 12 spot not JMU. The Playoff selection process needs revamped, but the vitriol that these G5 teams took is unwarranted. Blowouts happen in the early rounds of every playoff in every sport. My biggest problem with the Playoff is that it is killing the regular season (not so slowly anymore).
If you're watching the Rate Bowl these UNM uniforms are awesome and Minnesota is awful.
I thought PJ Fleck would have his team ready to go…
PSU wins, the mighty B1G is 3-0 in bowls so far.
They count the CFP First round game too for Oregon so 5-0. Washington won the LA Bowl.
The Iowa vs Vandy, Illinois vs. Tennesee and IU vs Bama games will be huge. Win those and there is no more debate.
I see the B1G going 2-1 in those games: Victories by IU and Iowa, loss by Illinois. The Iowa vs Vandy, Illinois vs. Tennesee and IU vs Bama games will be huge. Win those and there is no more debate.

Good bet those are three wins.
I'm not seeing how Michigan can upset Texas based upon how garbage they looked against Ohio St.
Manning is the big equalizer though because he can play worse than Underwood.
@gthomas - I did forget the UM vs Texas game. I think Illinois beats Tennessee. Despite popular belief, the SEC wasn't tougher than the B1G.
