Since IU is the higher seed/home team, does that mean we get Miami's locker room?
Hard Rock has 3 locker rooms. You get the Dolphins locker room per CFP policies. The U will be in the locker room we regularly use.
@iugradman you watch any U games this year? They didn’t sell many tickets or travel all year. I seriously doubt either team gets a fan advantage of any kind. Miami has a small fanbase considering. I was shocked how empty a lot of their games were.
They averaged roughly 63,000 per game this past season. Their attendance was actually pretty good. It will be a tough ticket but IU will be well represented. We’ve had six confirmed today by the IUTO.
Six? Wow. Aside from the absolute biggest of our donors (tens of millions+) I don't think anyone got more than 4 from Miami. Many Golden Canes (25k+ annual donation required) only received 2 or 3. The demand down here is at levels not ever seen before for a local sports event. The fight for tickets on the 3rd party marketplaces is gonna be epic.

yeah, I wish IU had some program like that. Instead we’ve got whales getting 40 tickets, using 4, and profiting $50k+ on the secondary market.

Holy crap. There's no system you can design for these situations that won't upset a portion of your alums/non alum fans, but I feel like you've got to give all your loyal people like season ticket holders at least a reasonable shot at 1 or 2 tix. And that behavior from the whales is really contemptible. Not that a good chunk of our larger donor base would act any differently if given the chance though...
Mainly if that's what you wanted to see.I doubt race had anything to do with it. Kid came up with a slogan, and since Miami had that rep, it resonated.
Didn't the T-shirt kid get booted from school because Notre Dame told him to stop (not wanting their IP used) and he just removed the Notre Dame specific stuff off it? And so Notre Dame still punished him? Or maybe he was going to be a basketball walk on and didn't get that gig? There was a 30 for 30 on it. I think he said he regretted it, but maybe because with losing his original inventory it was not a money maker.
If you were following the sport at that time, there were very obvious racial overtones to it. There also weren’t “convicts” on Miami’s team.

Well we painted it when you were away. So....I hope you like Flamingos.

Don't believe Ordy.
@canecominginpeace Not sure if that's even accurate, but it would seem logical and obvious that you can't get more tix to a playoff game than season tickets that you purchase for one.

Joke's on you our mascot is basically a flamingo splashed with white paint. You should've painted seminole indians instead.

haha Just kidding, we painted a jail cell. #GOTTEM
No, you're probably right though....a Flamingo wasn't as harmful as I was aiming for.

Long, long, long time season ticket holder, plus current and former family members are employed by IU.
