Just going to throw this out there….

  • 1979 - IU introduces the hayseed called “Hoosier Pride” for the season.  For those that don’t know, he was like the distant cousin of the Nebraska Cornhusker and the nephew of the pedophile uncle up north called “Purdue Pete.”  IU manages to win its first bowl game that year in the Holiday Bowl by defeating #8 BYU.

46 years years pass with largely dismal results with only a smattering of success for IU football.

2025 - IU reintroduces a mascot, Hoosier The Bison.  IU proceeds to go undefeated in the regular season, beat the #1 team in the country, beat #2 at one of the most intimidating environments in college football, get its first ever road win at Penn State, become the #1 overall seed in the CFP and produce its first ever Heisman winner.

just saying…….

Don’t start that. There is no cheer I hate worse that the one like that they use up north. I would not want anyone to think we copied them on anything.
