I am Khobie Martin's self-proclaimed biggest fan. From his first carry for the Hoosiers I saw a ceiling that nobody could touch. I truly believe Martin could be a very, very, very special running back. Cold-take me if I'm wrong, but I see 1st/2nd round draft pick potential, first team award potential, and gaudy numbers if he gets enough volume.
Excited to see where his career goes. I think he could end up being one of the best running backs of the Cignetti era when all is said and done.

I couldn't agree more. I don't care if it came in garbage time or against a tired defense. When he had the ball in his hands he was electric. I have absolutely zero idea on how Beebe's ACL recovery is going, but I will go ahead and predict that Khobie is RB1 or RB2 during the season.
I have to assume there was some reason (like pass pro issues or being a reliable receiver) that kept him from being in the rotation more. On the other hand, Hemby & Black were a helluva duo and it seemed at the end that Cig was going to let his horses win or lose games and not go too deep on the depth chart.
Cig was just keeping his NIL number a bit more affordable. 😎
Yeah, hoping he is ready for half the carries. If he has good luck with his health he could be one of our best ever. So much talent.
He's young. He seems to have been putting in the work. Could be a big next few years here!

I am also very high on him. But it will come down to his ability to block in the RPO. Both Black and Hemby were great blockers, especially Black.

His running style is very smooth. It’s quite the contrast to Black’s very herky-jerky style, which is very effective for him.
