It was warm, but our fans are mostly just soft and not too interested in the game. 76* and sunny wasn’t that bad. When it gets to mid-80’s I get it with respect to it being too hot.
Accuweather said 78 when I left. My car said 84 the entire drive home (15 minutes). The turf, concrete and bleachers have to add 10+ degrees. There was nothing very interesting for people to stay for, so…

1: IU wins, but fails to dominate ODU. Surely the gameplan included a spy on their run first QB, so what happened?

As far as I could tell, they never had a spy on the QB...at least on the run plays.
I saw the game live, but taped and watched it as well.
On the first run the D lineman and LB both bought the fake 100%, and completely left the hole open. Moore saw what was happening but the QB cut away sharply and he did not have the angle to come close to tackling him.
On the second long play #13 Wyatt stepped inside with the snap, was watching the play, then took one more step and just could not react in time to get back in position.
That QB was very good with the ball handling and pretty damn fast. Watching the game live, it was very tough to tell who had the ball. The other thing was he was very decisive....one cut and gone.
I was very disappointed with Wyatt. He was in there a lot and I only saw him effect the play positively on one occasion---he tipped the pass that Ponds intercepted.
Someone said Kamara only had one tackle. I was surprised by that but I do think he affected a # of plays. Wheeler was also very active, and Landino (?) made a couple of plays. I didn't see any other DL do much.
At LB Fisher and Jones were active. Hardy played a lot but I didn't see him making plays other than the time he went after the QB near the boundary. He was full throttle that play.
I thought the secondary played very well. In the 'old days' QBs would overthrow receivers and no IU DB would be in place for the int. They were very opportunistic Saturday I thought.
I read that the freshman Baldwin missed the game....I hope he's ok. He's probably 2nd string right now. If Moore is ruled ineligible he might be gone after the next game(??). Anyone know the story with Baldwin?
@mushroomgod We totally sold out on those fakes, and yes that QB knew how to sell it. Cig highlighted his ability to run, so I was surprised we gave up those runs/didn't have a spy...especially with the non-threatening pass attack.

That guy was a magician with the fakes and misdirection. Following the ball was hard for me watching on TV and the camera operator got fooled several times.
@82iugrad the D-line played with they hair on fire last year. This year not so much. But remove the two long runs and we did dominate ODU offense.
