I’d like to be pleasantly surprised the way I was with the outcome of the Nebraska game last year, but Illinois is a lot better.

I think there's a sentiment and feeling that Illinois has a very good defense. Unless they've improved a lot, I'm not sure that's the case based off last year's performance.
But I do think they're very capable of controlling the ball for long stretches offensively.
I think the game will come down to which team takes care of the ball, and then which team converts in the Red Zone better than the other. A key turnover could flip the game, and then getting Touchdowns instead of FGs, as well. IU's offense should be able to move the ball on them. Just need to get touchdowns.
I'm seeing 27-20, IU. With the score only being held down by Illinois having a decent time of possession advantage.

I can read between the lines. Are you saying the fact that Illinois gave up 49pts to Purdue, clearly outlines Illinois defensive inefficiencies?
