This was UI's trap game.  IU should win this one at home as long as everyone sticks to their positions.  The games that scare me are the ones where they're obviously overmatched with talent.  That should correct itself in a couple years.

PFF likes Illinois to win. They aren’t convinced Mendoza can handle the blitz and think IU’s defense plays to Altmyer’s strengths.

@mushroomgod If both teams make the same number of mistakes (or no mistakes), I think we win by 3 touchdowns or more. There is a big talent gap between the teams, we have a lot more guys expected to get drafted.

I wouldnt worry about Mendoza in big moments. He played really well for Cal when the pressure was on. 98 yard game winning drive to beat their rival Stanford. Played well against Miami in a game his team was completely overmatched in personnel. Two solid drives against FSU in crunch time (too bad his kicker whiffed).

Im feeling a ~17 point victory. I think we likely have 1 TO, they have none, but our talent takes care of the rest. For people worried about Altmyer and our secondary... we have already played against 2 good QBs to start the year. Colston for ODU was throwing darts all over the field against Virginia Tech. When Kennesaw State put in Odom against us, they found their QB1. He went 12/14 in their game after us before they subbed him out with the game in hand
