Also do you have any interest in going to Bloomington to watch the game? It will honestly be crazy fun there. You’d have to sit for hours to save your spot, but I know that’s what I’d do. Also I’d be willing to bet people are selling the FREE watch party at SSAH for money. They should not have allowed people to get 6 tickets
@tmft Amen brother. I know there are plenty of good souls transacting theirs at face value. I just don't know those souls.
@zeke4ahs pretty similar situation! One of my closest friends grew up in South Bend. Though he was actually on the IUFB roster for one year (walk-on), he's always made it clear that ND is #1 and IUFB is #2. I am his point of reference for any and all IUFB related questions. He had someone reach out to him last night with a ticket... I am SO happy for him.
Silver lining... I am glad to be in a situation where I can be jealous that my friends are going to the natty 😊
Over on the ticket exchange a guy has like 30 natty tix for sale. With the prices, even beating the fees from one of the big ticket re-seller hubs, he'll end up profiting like $50k. Which he's just squeezing out of IU fans. For tickets he's not using.
It's just a big race to the bottom. Because we can't trust everyone to take what they need, pass on what they don't, and let the next person on the rung get a chance. Because everyone figures someone downstream is going to try and cash in, "might as well be me." Kind of sucks. Especially with the understanding that you only end up with the kind of points necessary to get to the front of the line by being able to afford/spend a lot of money. So the people who can most afford it get the cheapest tickets that they can sell at a wildly inflated market rate at the expense of those on average less able to afford it. #America #FreeMarket
In full disclosure, I'm getting face value tickets from someone I know. And if I somehow end up off the waitlist for tickets on Friday, I'll be selling mine at face value to other IU fans I know will use them. Just seems distasteful to try and profit off of the team at the expense of other IU fans.
You must be some kind of Kommie pinko bedwetter.
I'd have no problem paying, oh, $100 for a ticket to the watch party. Yeah, I know the tickets were free, but being at AH on Monday would be WAY more valuable to me than $100.
Fan for over 50 years and current snowbird in South Florida...I would purchase tickets and go, but not for the current prices.
We'll host another watch party with 20+ Hoosiers at our 55+ community home 2 hours away...we'll be very loud, proud, and expecting another violation letter from the HOA later in the week 🙂
GO HOOSIERS!
I'm more bummed that I'll never get to see this awesome group of kids play together again in person. I was getting a touch of the feels at the end of the Peach Bowl.
@hurryinghoosiers when I went to my early games Richie Badar (qb), and Tom Nowatzke (fb) roamed the IU gridiron.

Besides politician, is there a scummier profession or side hustle than ticket scalper?
I took great joy back in the day taking a short cab ride over to Wrigley for a weekday night game and getting one of those bastards to sell me tickets at $5 a pop in the second inning.
This is a time for celebration. Treat yourselves to special meals and beverages and enjoy at home with friends and family. I went to the Peach, and it was a blast but I'm not confident I'll go to the same address at the same time with 70,000 others often. Go Hoosiers!
@sparky I've got all you guys beat. I was in Bloomington for Corso's initial game as head coach way back in 1973. The team arrived to the stadium in a double-decker bus. I have suffered through some bad football over these last 50+ years.
@irregulars South Bend home towner, dad took me to see Nowatzke play for Michigan City Elston High School back in the early 1960s. I remember little about the game other than Michigan City won.
@bigmike i grew up in Bloomington. My first year attending games was 1960, so I saw him play then.

I saw Corso quick kick against #2 ranked USC from around midfield! No, I really didn't, that was the year before. But I sure heard about it from fans that were still annoyed and were hoping we'd move on from him. I did see a quick kick though in 1982 .
Then then next year the most awesome RB performance I'd ever seen in Ohio State's 56-17 win. I think Keith Byars went for about 700 yards. Felt like it anyway. (Google AI says only 359 yards on 23 carries for 15.5 avg.)
Ahh, those weren't the days. But Bill Mallory was only a couple years away.
Sure glad some of you get to be there! Even if we get there again is a once in a lifetime level experience.
