I know Iowa protection is the best in the nation, but I was underwhelmed with our pressure.  Combine that with our zone defense and I'm concerned we now have tape that could hurt us.  Great win in an amazing road environment regardless...thankful these in-game injuries have yet to affect us unlike our opponents.

Our defensive scheme doesn't seem to flex enough against these dink and dunk offenses with a QB that can run a little bit to give a different look.

Glad to see us break up and play aggressive coverage on some of Iowa's 3 yard post up passes up the middle in the second half.  Their best offense was moving the chains on those on 3rd down in the first half.

@middawg Maybe missing Ponds was a bigger deal than I thought it would be (I thought it was a problem when announced).  What you describe is exactly what Illinois brings to the table on offense, yet we handled them no problem.  I was impressed with the Iowa O-line, they were excellent.  On offense I thought our play calling was suspect on those short yardage 4th downs...we could run it on first or second down, but had trouble on 4th.  Super happy to get out of Kinnick with a win, and I know everyone (players and coaches) will learn from this.
