Nice! Is there someplace on here where we can see a listing of IU commits? I cannot remember all these guys.
@walt542 I am working on an article this week. Other wise I'll refer you to https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Season/2026-Football/Commits/ for now
@thehoosierhuddle thanks Sammy. I usually stay away from that site, but it does give me a good list.
Will there be a list made of INDIANA targets who will visit this coming wknd?
Alright, so I have some updates on the rest of the 2026 class.
IU is high on Keys. The visit went really well. He is the only receiver they are looking at. Bardo is likely heading to Wisconsin.
Maryland is still in play for Keys. He is a Maryland kid and playing for his hometown is something MD is trying to push.
Matt Seig is a top priority target that they feel good about. They may add another safety to the class as well.
That would probably do it. IU has not yet started evaluating their portal needs just yet. They do have a bye week coming up where that will ramp up.
@thehoosierhuddle Does that mean we are out on the Clemson safety decommit? Forget his name but I remember we made the final cut for him.
Do you think we have a shot at Mickens? I feel like there would be a spot for him in the class, we will lose 3 RBs to graduation and only have 1 commit in the current class
@hoosierdaddy IU brings back Martin, Beebe and Cuono.
Mickens has locked in an official visit with IU which is great. We’ll see what his asking price is. If it’s very high, I don’t see why IU would over pay for an RB.
We will see. Getting him on campus is a big deal.
@hoosierdaddy I don’t think we are out on him as IU would take another safety with Seig. But seems more like a luxury and not a need in the class
@thehoosierhuddle With how much Cig likes to run the ball, we probably want ~6 scholarship RBs on the roster? I wouldnt mind paying Mickens over grabbing a portal player, Beebe and Martin look more than capable to lead the rotation next year (albeit Beebe is a little bit of a question mark coming off serious injury)
Sieg would be huge for safety room, we lost almost the whole group last year and this year we likely lose all 3 starters (Ferrell is currently projected to get drafted mid round if he declares). Definitely another year of using portal for safeties

IU is trying to flip OL Ben Novak (Wisconsin commit)

When Alabama was a place where winning alone brought in the 5 star players, it will be interesting if IU's recent success will be enough to lure players away from their home state universities.
@zekeus Winning alone didn't bring players to Alabama or any SEC team. Those guys were being paid under the table. Now that playing field is more even. It's one of the reason why the Big Ten has caught up to the SEC.
@thehoosierhuddle Hartline may not even be there to welcome him. And maybe he flips to where Hartline will be the new coach, I'm sure he is not long for tO$U.
BEAT PURDUE
The differences in our program vs little brothers is comical. Jalaythan Mayfield (4* in 2027 class) posted a stack of hand written letters from the IU coaches, and another post where its a single card from Purdue.
Purdue might never win a B1G game again.
I still cant believe how many 4/5* players are putting IU in their top school list and taking the time to visit Btown. No way we get any of these guys to campus 5, 10 years ago.
2027 and 2028 are looking like they will be big recruiting years.
