Our ‘26 portal class is 8th on 24/7 and 1st on On3.
I got a feeling the ‘27 high school class will be something pretty good when it’s all said and done.

@arioznahoosier4554 When are you talking? The '26 class is done and many/most on campus and was mostly set before the playoffs. I don't even think top 10 for '27 is realistic. The elite schools just have so much capital and resources behind them, I don't think HS recruiting can change as quickly as the portal. Steady improvement each year will get us where we want to be. If we're 30th this year, maybe top 20 next year. I think jumping into the top 10 is not realistic or likely. Just my opinion.

I was talking 2027 class. Maybe it is not obviously football is different than bbal given the numbers of bodies needed I was more looking at our record the last few years that would maybe make top guys take notice.
In the future the top 10 classes will probably be dominated by those paying QBs more than Michigan did for Bryce Underwood. Their billionaire beats our billionaire if they want to go that rout.
It's not all money though judging by the 5 stars giving us a good look. I have to believe most of the time if you are the highest bidder for a frosh you lose in the long run. Not always.
Our 2026 class is good, agreed the 2027 class is where we will see the championship impact. Just like Cig said last years success really made a bigger impact on the 2026 class. It helped for 2025, helped more for 2026.

@arioznahoosier4554 I just think it's gonna be really hard to jump into the top 10 in HS recruiting when that's the game the old Guard has dominated and mastered for the last 30+ years. I think we've already jumped into the top 10 with portal classes and I think getting there in a combo rating of portal and HS is more realistic, and more important. With HS recruiting I just look for us to make steady improvement year to year.

As an aside, IU’s graphics are really nice, such as what’s on that tweet (X).
When it’s really noticeable is when you go to a players social media page and you see other schools graphics work from their offers or visits.

The '26 high school class is #29 on 24/7.
Unless he is simply not interested in five and high ranked four stars there is really no reason we should not get a top 10 class after winning the title.
Cig doesn't care about stars.
Winning gets us in the door with higher end kids, but he's going to go off his evals, no matter where a kid is ranked.
