These balls were being pushed immediately after the big game through radio interviews and ads. I'm doing a write up about persuasive ads and would like to know how much you paid and if the fear of missing out (FOMO) contributed to your purchase. It was said their would only be 5000 balls and gone when gone. The balls are still being sold on their webiste and it's possible not all supposed 5000 were sold and also wanting to compare the price of the immediate price after the game vs a current price.
I suppose it's possible nobody on here bought one but figured this is the crowd that may have wanted this commemorative ball which I actually think is really cool. Just trying to understand the psychology of the purchase. TIA
@eppy99 Not the answer you're looking for, but the product looks cheap. Plastic maybe? And overpriced unless it's leather. I'd buy one if it was leather.
@bucketgetter I listened to the live (paid for) interview on the Bob & Tom show. It was 4 minutes long and they never mentioned if it was leather. They only talked about the schedule on the ball, the bowl logos, the case it comes in (I believe is extra) and the limited availibilty and that once the 5k are gone that's it. My guess is you're right that the quality is shit and it's not leather. I just checked out the website and it talks about everything, but the material so it's got to be cheap. They're charging $129.99 without the case.
