I'm gonna say yes.
How many times between college and pros have I heard players 'running it back' and talking about "unfinished business" like our players did in the off-season. Feels like so few of those work out, to have an even greater season the next year. Sure worked for our guys!
It has to be top 5. No doubt.
I say yes. First 16-0 season since Yale in 1894. First (I believe) team to beat six Top 10 teams in a season. First team with Superman at QB.
damn right.......until someone else matches it
(anything before WW1 doesn't count)
Unmatched. Hell yes!

Wow. This guy makes the case for this being a Top 5 all-time season - - in all of team sports!! Up there with the '72 Dolphins and the Miracle on Ice!!
Indiana football's 16-0 season stands among greatest team sport feats

I was making the statement for top 5 college football seasons of all time.
@hoosiers94 Yes, I know. I was just pointing out that the author of the article I linked puts our team on an even higher pedestal.
That is pretty heady company.@hoosiers94It has to be top 5. No doubt.

The last 3 national champions, and 4/6 teams in the natty game were teams that “ran it back” with veteran cores
I think this is why the B1G in particular has been pulling away. Programs in our conference seem to be doing a much better job at getting guys to stick around their final year of eligibility instead of hopping into the portal or going pro
Can we FINALLY put the "SEC is superior" nonsense to bed? The road to a championship runs through the B1G.
