wow
we've been screwed there many times
but never as bad as Western Michigan tonight
shameful
They'll be talking about that one all week.
But the clock on the TV isn't official. Maybe it was off by just a split second. The difference between 1 and 0 on that play was probably a tenth of a second at most. So it wouldn't take much.
You misspelled f@$ked. That was an all time screw job
Thank you for reading Hoosier Huddle
@goat it was synced with the in stadium clock.
they can say that all they want, but it still isn't what the refs are looking at. If they were off by even a tiny fraction of a second, that would explain the call. I mean, it literally hit zero while the ball was maybe a foot? Two feet at most? from his hands.
@goat Hit zero with the ball in the air. It doesn't tick to zero if there is any time left.

theft is what that was
WM had the W stolen from them

Yeah, on TV. But it ticked to zero while the ball was inches from the dude's fingers. If the TV folks were off by even a tiny fraction of a second, the official clock might have still had a 1 on it when he touched it. That's how it goes.
Surely Oregon and Michigan will both drop in the polls. No way they come out of those games without dropping down.
P.S. - the Michigan game ending was beyond pathetic. Broc Lowery was a former QB with IU under Allen.

Don’t they use the tv broadcast for the replay?
If the BIG/Ncaa had any balls they’d change that outcome, but they won’t because Mishitgan makes them more $$)!
That was robbery. With everyone suing everyone these days, I wouldn’t be surprised to start seeing schools taking refs to court. The only thing worse I remember in early 90’s, Colorado got a fifth down at the end of a game and won.
@goat ... Sorry, but you're totally wrong....
I can attest that as a retired network Producer of live sports, all NCAA college clocks are syn'd with TV and ALL football stadium clocks are to be THE OFFICIAL time that is to be used by the officials.... The old days of when the officials went solely by the Side Judge's timer went away at least a decade ago...
While The Side Judge still keeps time on his watch, it is STRICTLY (by NCAA rules) a backup in case there's a malfunction with the stadium clock... There was no problem with the clock at this game.
Also, the clock that was was on-screen was a shot from the stadium clock... It was not a graphic generated from the production truck.
So, the Bronco's definitely got screwed
How, or better yet, why the refs decided to go against the procedure set by the NCAA was a big mystery to the NBC Rules Expert (don't recall his name) who commented about the officials error at the close of the broadcast. He knew the procedure the officials were to go by.
YES, they do. They see the exact same thing the viewer does.... there are no angles that only the refs get to see.... that's a myth that most still believe.
Also, the clock you saw on the screen tonight was taken directly from the scoreboard. It was not a TV generated graphic.
